Disney is presently updating the December hours. Is anyone planning on doing the "20 Hours of Magic Kingdom" beginning at 7:00 AM December 30 and ending at 3:00 AM December 31?:)

As fun as that sounds you would have to wipe out the entire next day or two as a result.

I wouldn't want to waste days like that.

Maybe if I was 20 years younger:laughing::laughing::laughing:

I would never do it. I like to park hop.
However if you wanted to ride everything on that day,
it would probably take that long.

I believe that's only 20 hours. :) Regardless, I think you'd need to ride IASW a few times for naps. :)

I'm with ya Martin!

But even with that, I couldn't do 20 hours in the Magic Kingdom alone. I could easily do it Park Hopping though.

Been there, done that, doing it again!! :dance3: It was Christmas Day/Dec. 26, 2006, got there at 8am Christmas Day after getting up for Santa Claus at 5am at the Beach Club. Stayed to close the park at 3-3:30am. Was one of the most magical days of my entire life! Doing it again with my new fiance and brother (his first trip!!) this December 30/31, then going to Epcot the next day for New Years Eve!! Staying at Bay Lake Tower, so should be a cinch.

We had a nice breakfast that morning at the castle, long lunch at Pinnochio's, and a nice dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern, rode all the rides, saw all the shows, enjoyed the capacity crowds people watching, met and spoke with some great folks waiting 2 hours for the parade at Sleepy Hollow with a snack. Was a perfect Christmas.:wizard:

Anyone who'd like some advice on doing it, please ask!:santa:

As tired and worn out as I would be ... I'd probably love every minute. ;)

20 hours at Disney. Although the kids think they would enjoy it, I think I would be ruined for the rest of the week. Go luck to anybody trying it. :cool1::banana:

When I go to the official site, I still see MK as being open only til midnight on Dec. 31. Can you post a link? Maybe I'm going to the wrong place.

I absolutely would. :yay: But I'm not going to be there then, so I can't. I don't know if I'd want to do it more than once, but I'd at least like to try it. I think if you had the right people with you, it could be really, really fun - one of those things you talk about for years to come.

If I were doing it, I would try to do it on the last day of my trip so that I would be less likely to wimp out and leave early (who wants to leave earlier than they have to on their last day?) and so that I wouldn't feel like I missed out on time at the parks for the next day or two to recover (you can always sleep on the plane :)).

To those of you who tried it, did you end up taking a nap anywhere? I think riding IASM, CoP and TTA would be good places, lol.

If I was there at the time, I would probably try to be there for the 20 hours. Sounds like a fun challenge!

we plan on being there , but not for all 20 hours. We will head back to our resort mid-day and then return. That being said, we have done MK from 8 a.m.( in line for rope drop) until 3 a.m before...so ALMOST 20 hours if you count standing in line before entering the park. On etime we did MK nutil 2, went out to eat breakfast, quick showered and then hopped over to DHS for morning EMH...we crashed about 3 pm back at the resort, but that was one fun stretch!

Disney has changed the schedule again.:)When I posted, the schedule showed EEMH for December 30(which would be Midnight until 3:00 AM on December 31).I would not be surprised to see it return. If not the (17 Hours of Magic Kingdom) could still be fun.:)

I'm amazed someone can do that. How did you manage the crowds that long? We did new years day but by 6:00pm were done. That was 9 hours for us.

The max we ever did was 14 hours and that was during the summer so the crowds were easier to manage but the heat was a killer.
