Is someone going to send this thread to Disney showing them what kind of headache they caused us all???
If I was Disney, and saw this thread, the only message I would get from it is that they're not charging us enough.

So, like most of you, I was up at the butt crack of dawn,:surfweb: only to find that the system was crashing:headache: Then started calling from 6:30 (ET) until 9:30...busy...busy...busy...except for that guy who fooled me a few times. (so should not be able to get your hopes up like that!)
Had to go to Dr's came out, resumed calling...NOTHING....Went to class, and stayed on computer hoping it would magically open up for me... nope.
Called as soon as I walked out of the school building and a real live person answered my call!:banana::banana::banana::banana:!!!!!
After 20 mins. or so, and not risking losing a cell signal, I got every ressie I wanted within 5 mins. of the requested time!
I just knew this afternoon that my kids hearts would be broken by not eating at Chef Mickeys and not doing our annual Ohana bfast! Keep the faith people!! Don't give up!!!:cheer2::woohoo:

here's what we got easily!
March 7 Whispering Canyon Cafe dinner 6:30
Mar. 8th Liberty Tree Tavern 5:35
Mar. 9 Spirit of Aloha 8
Mar 10 Coral Reef 5:30
Mar 11 Chef Mickeys 9:10 Bfast
Mar 12 Ohana Bfast 9:10

After the long morning debacle:surfweb::eek::sad2:
I was able to make my ADRs during my lunch....I was only on hold for 20 mins:idea: with DVC member services, but the CM was helpful and got me Chef Mickey's and my fantasmic package. :confused3 I called over 120 times to hear the new down graded Disney music this morning. It only had three songs with a funny three chimes before the singing (well it was more like talking). :happytv:

Anyone else trust their CL IPO to make ressies today? Any idea when we might get information on what the office was able to book?

The only reservation I haven't been able to get is California Grill for March 19. I have a party of 6 and thought that might be the problem so I just called back and had the CM check for any party size on that evening. Nothing is open at all. She said that not all the restaurants have been loaded yet, but I see other people here getting Cali Grill ADRs for mid-March!

I still can't get past "we're sorry, all circuits are busy right now, please try your call later"..... since 7 a.m.!!!!!!!!

Me too!!! I'm still trying--but I'm so tired, was up at 4am (mountain time) to do online, etc, etc.

I actually got california Grill this am for March 11th so I don't think what she told you is true.

5:50 P.M. EST

Just got off the phone making Pirate's League and BBB ressies. System seemed to be up and running with no issues.

Don't give up!

Why does it feel this good to have made those ressies?! I feel like a kid in a candy store! :-)

Finally got through and got all we wanted. Poor DH. He set his alarm for 3am to get online and it wasn't working yet. We tried again at 6am - no luck. He started calling in at 7am, finally got through about 8:30. He was on the phone 1-1/2 hrs and was just waiting for the confirmation numbers when the system went down and lost everything. He tried calling several times during the day but kept getting busy signals. I tried when I got home and just kept hitting redial until it finally went through. During the booking, the computers went down and she said there was nothing she could do, but luckily they went back up while I was still on the phone with her.

Just a silly question, what bright bulb thought that putting up all the dining ressies for the next 180 days IN ONE DAY was a good idea????????:confused3 We are not experts but it seems everyone on the Boards knew today was going to be trouble. Why not stagger it? It' just created unnecessary frustration. I really feel for the CM's today. They couldn't be more pleasant on the phone. I could only imagine the kind of day they've had. I'm sure it wasn't "magical". :scared1:

Just to give my 2 cents, I also tried the 6am online thing (actually got Le Cellier and Brown Derby lined up) and hit "Book" and it never came back. Then tried calling all day (when I had a chance). Finally mid-afternoon I got through. Then got all 4 of my desired ADRs within mere minutes of my desired times. This was for February around Valentine's Day. So if you don't have yours yet, don't lose heart (no pun intended). ;)

Several times today I tried the Disney Dining website as well as their telephone # to no avail. So as a member of DVC, I called their member services (around 5:20 pm) and after about 20 minutes, I was able to make ressies for Cape May & California Grill for our trip in late Jan

Gave up for a few hours and went out. Just got back and tried again and am now finally on hold. "Your estimated wait is.... clang clang".

I see they've kept the online system down for the rest of the day to avoid breaking the whole booking system.

You probably won't like to hear this, but after seeing this morning that there were issues, I didn't even try calling til this afternoon. After a few call back due to busy lines, I got thru & got all my ressies except one. I couldn't get Trex Cafe which my DS really wants to eat at. I did get Chef Mickey's, Ohanas, Cali Grill, Biergarten, & Le Cellier!!! Le Cellier was a nice surprise as I wasn't planning on getting that one at all.
I am very excited!

I'd say you were SMART!!!

Which is fine if you can book by phone without incurring international calling costs. There is No facility available to UK guests at all today which is so frustrating. By the time they condescend to give us an online route how many booking options will remain? We are only 100 days off our trip

I totally agree with the earlier post. Any roll out of this nature should be phased, they should have gone up to 120 days first then a week later or so 150 days and then 180 days after that

It is a total farce today

Agreed. I can't imagine today with international charges. Ouch. I wish you the best. Maybe the web will be up tomorrow. I hope so.

I ate at T-Rex last week and my sister and I were chatting with a manager and she told us to call the restaurant directly for reservations because their systerm is not compatable with Disney's. You can also go early around 5-6 without a reservation and hardly any wait, we have done that a bunch of times. GL

Tell me about it! I'm a Brit too. :)

To help keep your international call costs down to half-a-penny per minute, call UK number 0844 200 9595 first, then the WDW number 00 1 407 939 3463 #

I finally got throughb:dance3::cool1::banana::banana:.
Was only on the phone for 37 minutes from start to finish. Started calling at 7 am it was 5:38pm when I got through! CM Felicia was fantastic, so helpful and most of all calm.

Got everything that I wanted to get, with the exception of CRT but her system was not pulling that one up. Will try another day for that one....

3/6 Chef Mickey's @ 6:30 pm
3/7 Crystal Palace @ 8:10 am
3/7 Tony's @ 5:50 pm
3/8 Hollywood & Vine @ 6:15 pm
3/10 Tusker House @ 8 am
3/12 Akershus @ 12:20 pm

So excited!!!:dance3:

I also waited to call. Finally called about 12 noon (PST). Was on hold for about 5 minutes before getting a CM! Her system was slow so we were on the phone for awhile but I got everything I wanted! :cool1:
This includes Biergarten (lunch) , Ohana (Dinner), Raglan Rd.(Dinner) and Le Cellier for Dinner! Our trip is Jan 29th-Feb 1st!
