I liked him the first book but after that i realized he seems to protective, and too fatherly.

Really? I thought the special effects were really good considering the first movie's effects left a lot to be desired. I really am just so excited! I wonder if they will up the release date since the anticipation is so great!

For the movie?
Fangs, purely because the guy who plays Edward is one of the worst actors I've ever seen.

However I am more of an Edward fan when it comes to the books.

You really think he's that bad at acting?. I just think it was the way the film was directed. They get him to act hot and sexy - because that's what he is in the book - but it doesnt work for him as an actor. But i didn't think he was THAT bad.

For the movie i'm pretty torn between who i'd choose
The book - definitely Edward

I hate Twilight, but I've read the books and used to be a fan.
Well, the new movie looks as I predicted it - full of bad acting from everyone involved, bad and probably made her books even worse in movie form.
But the graphics do look better, yay for larger budgets.

ITA. I think it's going to be another poorly done movie, mostly because of the actors.

I just hope it's better than the first. It might be simply because there is more plot in this story than the first book. But I think the actors are going to ruin it again.. (coughKristencough)

But I must say that Jake looks absolutely DELICIOUS!!! -drool-

Hmm, I don't know if I can agree with you. I don't think the acting is that bad. I do have qualms with the actor who plays Jacob because I think he is far to small to fill the role appropriately, but I really don't think that they could have picked a better Edward, and I even warmed up to Kristen Stewart.

I don't think that the actors ruined anything (maybe Kristen took away some of the innocence Bella has) and I don't think that this movie is going to be poorly done. Chris Weitz is a wonderful director, and with the big budget it should be well done.

I think that Taylor Lautner could make it or break it simply because he has a larger role than Edward in most of this.
