This looks so yummy! What kind of filling do you get?

We will be at there june 29-july 11, which will be just after my DHs 40th and just before my DSs 6th. I want to suprise them both with a cake. I am looking at doing it at either WCC, Boma or Narcoossees. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which would be the yummiest cake :) . Also they both love love love chocolate if that makes a difference. I would love any and all suggestions. Thanks

I would say Narcoossees, GF bakery seems to be a favorite on this thread by alot of people. You have a lot of options with them

I love this thread & have subscribed to it for over a year now. If you look you'll see it was started in July 2006! 363 pages is a lot to look through when you're trying to find a specific cake/price/info as I was today and couldn't find what I was looking for. Am I the only one who thinks it's time to start a new one? :confused3

we're planning a special anniversary cake at narcoosees next trip - the mini castle cake (will get it all in white: cake, filling, frosting) - but we're not passing up the almond crusted cheesecake, either!!!!

I nominate you to organize it! at least when you go thru it take notes on which pages has which cakes, and then the prices that were or were not posted..

Page 1 has the most important info, and much of the questions posted are the same - its such an exciting time to figure out how to surprise someone, and to get the best cake!

I wouldn't mind doing it, but it'd have to be done later - we leave this weekend for Disney World! :rotfl2:

Oh, and speaking of prices, etc - I called Disney yesterday and ordered:

Boardwalk Bakery for Spoodles - 10" vanilla cake with strawberries/custard filling, buttercream icing with Jasmine screen (extra $10)

GF for 1900 PF dinner -
white chocolate Mickey & chocolate dipped "tuxedo" strawberries - $50
Cinderella Slipper - $14
Mini Castle Cake - $25

I didn't know the mini cake could come in cheesecake, but she asked if I would like vanilla, chocolate or cheesecake. So we're doing cheesecake on that since we have the big cake earlier in the week. I'm so excited!!! WOOT!

We are going to be celebrating 2 anniversaries while at WDW...the first our best friends are celebrating their 16th wedding anniversary...we will be dining at LeCellier that evening. I am thinking of ordering a 10" customized cake...has anyone had any luck with ordering a cake with white Chocolate ganache and a slight milk chocolate swirl (like the one in post #3608 without the Mickey & Minnie)??? Anyone know my options at LeCellier? We also will be celebrating our own 18th wedding anniversary a couple nights later at Mama Melrose...anyone know what my options are there and if we can get the white chocolate ganache cake described above??? Any pictures would be appreciated! Thanks for your help! By-the-way...I am doing the double-digit dance today...99 DAYS!!!!!:cool1:

I can't wait to hear what you thought about the cheesecake. I haven't read any reviews for it, & it sounds like a great option to me. ::yes::

PS: Thanks for offering to start a new thread. :thumbsup2 I have some ideas for things to include, if you're interested. :teeth: Have a great trip, btw. :)

We will be celebrating two birthdays on our trip. We will be celebrating DD's 5th at CRT (lunch) and I wanted to see if they would do an 8 inch chocolate cake with chocolate filling & fresh strawberries. I wanted to get a screen of all the princesses on top, but don't know if it will show up on a chocolate cake or if we will have that cake option at CRT. I haven't even gotten 1/4 of the way through this thread, yet. Maybe I should have started at the end and went backwards for the more recent options.

We will also be doing a birthday at Sci-Fi (dinner) for DB. I think maybe a Star Wars theme? I haven't sat down and figured out my options yet, but I do know I would like to order an 8 inch vanilla cake with a filling of custard and either fresh raspberries or strawberries. Hopefully, I can get those things there. This will be my first time ordering a cake. Are the prices at the beginning of the thread standard for all cakes everywhere?

I just called to order a cake from the Grand Floridian and they just weren't nice at all. They kept saying since we are a party of 5, we should get the standard cake that is $12.50.

How awkward is it to have a cake and birthday celebration at the Sci Fi? for some reason, I was thinking the cars were at 50's Prime Time. I also didn't realize that it was 2 people per seat and nobody is facing each other. Should I change my plans?

They have cars that have tables and face each other.

I would change the cake to a different location. It is VERY dark in there, and the fun (IMO) is sitting in the cars that face the screen.

Where else are you eating?

Here is our agenda (without knowing the hours of operation)

7th MGM 50's Prime Time 5:40pm (won't arrive until about 4pm)
8th MK CRT 12:05pm (also BBB at 11:00) YDD's bday celebration
9th EP Akershus 10:05am
10th MGM Sci-Fi 5:45pm DB's birthday
11th AK - ? (maybe just CS)
12th BW Big River Grille & Brewing Works (lunch)
12th EP Coral Reef 6:00pm
13th (Sea World)
14th ? probably DTD & extras (was supposed to go to the beach, but now plans have changed)
15th MK Supercalafragilistic Breakfast 10:55am
15th MK Gala Feast 6:10pm
16th HOME

Maybe I will try to switch 50's Prime Time to that day, and do Sci-Fi when we get there. I think we will need a later dinner time the first day, anyway. Darn, my brother really would have liked to have his BD at Sci Fi. But, there are 8 of us and I want it to be a little party that we can all enjoy together. His actual birthday is on the 10th, so I don't want to change the day.

Are you driving? I would order one at the BW and pick it up and have it for breakfast on the birthday morning. How cool would that be?

No, we are flying and relying on Disney transportation to get around. We are staying at ASMo.

Cake in the morning sounds like a great idea to me, but unfortunately, most other members in the party (including DB) do not think the same way. :(

I'll post the pic soon...but I just had to let everyone know that the cake I ordered from Yachtsman Steakhouse was DELICIOUS!!! AND beautiful!! We ate it all week.

The cakes there are awesome, their pastry chef is incredible! Glad to hear you enjoyed it - can't wait to see a picture.
