Is this just a plain chocolate cake? Do you have a number on how to contact chef mickeys to get this? How far in advance did you order?

Gina

Sorry Gina, I haven't been on in a few days. I just called the cake hotline (407-827-2253) It will connect you with Chef Mickey's. I left a message, and they returned my call the next day. Ours was plain chocolate-what we wanted...They will let you know your options when you talk to them. The cake was $45 and I ordered it 3 weeks out from the date I needed it.

Happy Planning!

First let me say thanks for putting together such a great thread! The pics are amazing, and I love all the info! Thank You!!

I am going to be in Disney with Hubby in July celebrating our anniversary, I was a disney fairytale bride 10 years ago. So I thought it would be a great idea to have a specialty cake made up similar to our wedding cake. I however have Celiac disease so would need a Gluten free cake...was wondering if anyone out there has ordered one before. Disney is always great accomidating me and my allergy so i am sure this would be no exception just wanted to know what others have done.
Hubby and I have bfast together that morning then he will be off to play golf and i will be off enjoying our cabanna for the day and he will join me there for lunch from private dining, which is when i was thinking of doing the cake. We have dinner that night at Narcosses and we both love there desserts so i don't want it at dinner. Would i get the cake from Private dining or the Grand Floridian bakery? any suggestions??

Thanks a bunch!

Hi,

We did the Wishes cruise last September (25th anniversary). We'd eaten at Narcoossee's and had arranged for GF Bakery to deliver the cake to GF marina where we were picking up the cruise. Unfortunately, there was a terrible thunderstorm just before the cruise was to leave. The cruise was cancelled. The worst part was that no one could locate our cake :( GF promised to deliver a new cake the next day for our rescheduled cruise. However the next 2 nights the cruise was cancelled for dangerous lightning. We didn't get our cake (beautiful as it was) until 3 days after our anniversary.

The lesson we learned - always pick up your cake and bring it with you. That way you're sure that even if the weather doesn't cooperate, at least you'll have something delicious to eat :)

sorry to hear about your cruise!!! that is bad news thanks a lot for the info and advice and i hope you have better luck if you ever try again!!! :goodvibes

My husband and I will be at Disney to celebrate our 45th Anniversary in September. I want to do something different and special to surprise him. A few years ago while dining at CRT, I asked ( secretly) our waitress how I could present my husband with a new wedding band (he either threw his original one away or lost it-Ü) and he had hinted that he would like a new one. After our main course, she brought out a platter with a dome cover, made an announcement and removed the cover--someone had placed the ring box opened on a bed or rose petals. He cried!!! ( Probably from embarrassment) I don't have another ring to give him, but after reading this thread thought about a cake---only thing is--we don't have ressies at the GF. Any suggestions??
Thanks

The card is so cute! Does that come with the cake or did someone order that for you? I'd love to do that for DS5 -- I wonder if the have a Jack Sparrow one?

First off, Congrats and God Bless on 45 years! Have you ever done the Celebration Cruise? They decorate the boat and you can have a cake delivered to have on the boat while you watch either Wishes or Illumination. I booked one for the end of June to surprise my hubby and will be having an 8' vanilla/vanilla cake w/ the Mickey & Minnie white chocolate topper deliverd to the boat to celebrate our 20th.

Hi! Just got back a few days ago from a week at the GF. Went for our 11th Wedding Anniversary w/the family. The pic below is the anniversary cake that I surprised my wife with on our anniversary night at 1900 Park Fare. She was shocked! She couldnt get over how awesome it was. Tasted good too! Vanilla cake w/vanilla chocolate mousse inside. I simply called the cake hotline and they transferred me to the GF Bakery once I told them I wanted to order a custom cake. Anyone wondering the cake was $40.00 including the topper and inscription scroll.

What a great idea!!! I can't believe that I never thought of that myself--Ü. We are at Disney every year and it just seemed the perfect place to celebrate our anniverary this year. Our family wanted to join us ( 4 kids and 8 grands)--but we'd rather do it ourselves this time. Thank you for your well wishes--45 years has flown by. There is a Country song by the title 'DON'T BLINK'--how very very true!

We will be celebrating my daughter's birthday at Crystal Palace @ 4:45. Can I order a cake from the GF bakery and have it delivered to Crystal Palace, or do I need to order from the MK bakery? Thanks for your replies.
Counting down the days till our 3 y.o. daughters first trip to WDW.

Happy Birthday!!!

Thank you! :goodvibes No, it didn't have anything to do with the cake. AKL found out it was my birthday and when we got back to our room on the second day, there was a surprise card from Mickey on the table. :thumbsup2 I know Jack Sparrow does not have his own photos, so he wouldn't have a photo to autograph. Just the main characters, including most of the princesses. :)

Our DIS Meet Cake
at Tutto Italia (Epcot-Italy)

We just had our DIS Meet last Thursday at Epcot! We planned to call and order a cake for our DIS dinner. I called to place the order with the cake hotline, but we were having dinner at Tutto Italia, so I ended up having to call the restaurant directly to discuss the cake options they had. I picked the chocolate mousse cake because I knew everyone loved chocolate! It was a surprise for all of us and we just loved it! It was delicious and the perfect ending to our DIS Party events. Cheryl, tinkerbell87512, & I were also celebrating our birthdays, so it was a wonderful party!

thanks for the picts!!

We are going to AKL in June and are celebrating 3 Bdays. We are going to get my aunt this cake! It looks soooooooooo delicious.
Did you get those mugs with the cake?

I love your hat too ~ where did you get that?

We are celebrating our twins 5th birthday at Cinderella's Royal Table for lunch. We have plans to order a cake - what do you do with the left over cake? Can you share with other tables so it doesn't go to waste? I'd hate to have to leave to take the cake back to the hotel, then come back. But I'd also hate to waste the cake.

We gave our extra cake to the server and told him to take it back to the break room so he and the other servers could have it.....

We will be at there june 29-july 11, which will be just after my DHs 40th and just before my DSs 6th. I want to suprise them both with a cake. I am looking at doing it at either WCC, Boma or Narcoossees. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which would be the yummiest cake :) . Also they both love love love chocolate if that makes a difference. I would love any and all suggestions. Thanks
