OMG! That is the greatest dress I have ever seen! I need 1. Did you do the appliques yourself? Wow!

Very cute!! You still have most of your winter left anyway right?? I bet they will get alot of use!!

Yep winter just starting - I've made them a size larger and just rolled the legs up so she can wear them next year. I'm making a few more "full winter" ones lined in merino wool fabric soooo soft and warm :D

WOW! You are amazing! :worship: I love all the applique and the ruffle underneath and the shirt...I want one for ME!

I don't let the girls wear their pettis in the car. They wear knit shorts and then I put the petti on over the shorts, and if the shorts aren't visible, they just keep them on. I'm afraid of them snagging them on the seat belt or strap from the booster seat.

Yep. We will be wearing shorts underneath from now on. I want to make one too and that one will NOT go near a setbelt buckle!

soooooooooo cool :worship: :thumbsup2

Well I've finally made Izzy's pj's - only been waiting 4months to do them

th_sewing009.jpg

She's happy with them - they have snap closures instead of buttons as buttons are still too scary lol :D

They look so warm and cozy! I love them. It is hard though to look at warm pjs when it is 80 degrees here!

To all my Disboutique friends......

I Absolutely ADORE all the new stuff I've seen on this thread!!

I know I haven't been posting much, but I've been lurking- but you girls/guys got me out of my cave to post because everything you are posting is just so FANTASTIC! You never cease to amaze me with your creativity!

I am going back to lurkdom now, but before I do, I just want you to know that I'm also off to convince my DD who just had my first grandchild 4 months ago (it was a boy) that it's now time to try again.... and this time for a GIRL so I can CASE everything I see here! LOL!!! Somehow....... I don't think it'll fly. ;-)

Super cute and I bet they are super comfy! I still haven't attempted a buttonhole either.

Here is what I made today, completely my own idea (ha!). I did the more modest halter top from CarlaC with elastic thread in the back instead of one piece of elastic and I like the way it fits, although I liked the other one too. I can't tell much of a difference (maybe I did the old one, lol).

I don't like it though. :sad2: It doesn't seem like it matches the pettiskirt at all. I should have picked a solid color for the ruffle, I think the stripes are too distracting. I don't know if I should start again and chuck it or what. I am a little depressed, I thought she could wear it to the princess lunch on her birthday and now I have to start over.

th_IMG_0500.jpg
th_IMG_0501.jpg
th_IMG_0499.jpg

I think the top is great but like you said, I'm not sure they actually go together. But as always, Megan is beautiful!

If you can do skirts, this is the easiest skirt I have made for my 5th grader. I'm sure you could just wing it but I think Teresa put my instructions in her bookmarks.

th_IMG_0121-1.jpg

it looks cute with a t-shirt or peasant top--you could make it with the solid pink and the peasant top the same, and do the border out of a print and the peasant top sleeves to match the border, then it would kinda look like a dress. :confused3 or as someone mentioned, you could do the pillowcase/halter style and make it longer as a dress. She would probably need a tshirt under it though. (ignore the squinty face)

th_etsyboutique021-1.jpg

Your girls are just too cute!!!!

here are the photos of Lily's pettiskirt top. It is just a tank top from Old Navy with a crown applique. I used my Aurora crown from my cricut and just traced it onto my heat 'n' bond. It was a little tricky to applique for a novice like me :confused3 Then I glued some bling on with E6000--my first ever experience with E6000--I loved it! I just hope the washing machine does too! :lmao: Some day I'll have a photo with a model. I used the sparkly pink fabric from Joanns for the crown and it matched really well (especially after all that ironing with the heat 'n' bond).

th_IMG_0233-1.jpg

th_IMG_0235-1.jpg

And here are my ribbon shorts. Lily had nothing to match this t-shirt so I had to make something. I haven't tried them on her yet.

th_IMG_0236-1.jpg

Love it all but that crown appliqued tank is just too cute!!! I may have to case that!

Just had to share- my oldest graduated K last week. I am so proud of him. Here are a few pics-
th_IMG_1459.jpg

Both boys together after the graduation (Cooper is wearing something that I smocked and made for Jackson when he was 2!)-
th_IMG_1620.jpg

And leaving- he couldn't get out of the shirt and tie fast enough. Oddly enough, he picked the outfit himself. He wouldn't wear the polo type shirt I had out for him. he wanted the tie!
th_IMG_1634.jpg

We are off to the world NEXT WEEKEND!! Can't wait!

Your boys are just too cute!! I love the shoes your oldest is wearing -- where did you get them?

Good Morning Everyone! Tried to catch up reading this morning...been busy with the husband being off work and all...not really...just went to Charlotte yesterday to exchange a necklace he gave me then got caught in a traffic jam on the interstate! Blew an entire day sitting in the car.

So...panic has set in....4 weeks 2 days....actually just four weeks because I must pack and take my FIL to the nursing home...oh no...that makes me really lose another day to get all of the paperwork done:headache: :headache: ! DH says he "might" take an extra day off to help me move HIS Dad! If he doesn't ...picture it...me, three kids (ready to go to WDW) a TV, oxygen machine, oxygen bottles, luggage, a walker, and lord only knows what else he wants to bring...and he says he "might" take the day off! :headache:

Done with my rant now!;)

Oh...the panic...must sew...I only have how many more pairs of shorts? :scared1: EEEEERRRR...

I did however get excited that I found out in my box of stuff for my 1950's Singer that there is a ruffler!!! Now, I have to figure out how to use it! Doesn't seem too hard...

Anyway...beautiful outfits...love all the crowns with the pettis...really wish my DD would wear one...darn it she is growing up too fast...said that before haven't I?

Hi..I know I showed you all the Stepsister appliques that I did last week, but I made a skirt yesterday to go with it. It's meant for Ireland or larger..it's a size 8. So it's really big on poor Lexie, but she's the only model available. :rotfl:
I love how Lucifer and Lady Tremaine came out..I only wish I had done a few more appliques but couldn't think of anything else that went with them. I was thinking maybe Bruno? Oh well..

Thanks!!
Oddly enough- WalMart. He doesn't wear dress shoes much, so I just can't justify spending a ton on them (although he has 6 pairs of crocs:rotfl: ). I saw them at WalMart one day and thought they would be perfect.

I love the top! Megan looks so happy in her new top and pettiskirt!

The crown applique looks GREAT!!!!

That is just gorgeous!!!! How long did it take you to do all those applique?

I made Lily a ladybug outfit to match the one I made her cousin. At least it is warm enough to take pictures outside! (and I even weeded my garden!) Sorry for the bad photos, my camera was on the wrong setting.

th_IMG_0224-1-1.jpg
th_IMG_0226-1.jpg

not sure how I missed this, but Lily looks adorable (as always)in her ladybug outfit! I need to start making my dd non-disney clothes after our trip.

That looks great!! I bought some flannels to make my kiddos pajamas but they are still sitting in the big rubbermaid container!

I
This week my husband agreed that we would have NO TV Mon, Tue and Wed night. I have to say, I really enjoyed it. Last night wasnt quite as great, I ended up giving Megan a bath and DH got on the laptop and that was sort of the end of the evening, but still better than TV in my opinion. DH is a bit of a news-tv aholic. He has always been, he says he picked up being single for so long....
I'm hoping he will agree to at least 2 no TV nights next week!
No TV also means no sewing, etc, the idea is to spend the time talking or reading together and being with each other.

My dh would never go for any no TV nights. I am not a TV watcher, and my kiddos are just like me - they can go for days without watching TV. There are days when I wish they would watch just a little tv to give me a break!

My applique is far from perfect...:rotfl: for some reason I just can't do faces..:confused3 For these, I painted on the faces. It's quicker and neater, and I don't even own a paintbrush...LOL. I use a toothpick...:rotfl2:

Now, you know you need to stay far away from Charlotte for the next week or so. The race traffic is going to get worse! I should know, I live behind the track! I can't wait till they all go home!

Sure did. a lot of time in those

you know I worked on it for 2 weeks straight off and on. We got into a car accident a week ago so it stalled me a bit getting it finished.

WOW! You are amazing! :worship: I love all the applique and the ruffle underneath and the shirt...I want one for ME!
IT is adorable isn't it, I put 8 appliques on the skirt. I have 4 more characters I wanted to put on but the skirt was getting full already.

Amazing work Lori!!! Did you do all those appliques yourself?

I did, the appliques did take time . But I love how it came out!

Gorgeous! I am amazed at your applique! Any chance of seeing closeups? :worship:

LOVE the "big girl" outfits! Again...so stuff I would wear myself!!!
and people have to bring me stuff...and tell me I'm pretty...

I LOVE the shorts!!! Are they difficult to make?

(I ask that like I'm not afraid of the sewing machine!!)

How hold was your oldest DD when little Lily was born? (if you don't mind my nosiness!)

WOW!!! The Disneyland hotel ROCKS!!! It's kinda old school in a classic Disney way...I haven't been since FOREVER ago...it may have been refurbished since i was there, but it was so fun to stay there!! I think the monorail still went to the hotel when I was there...it was about five or six years ago...it doesn't stop there anymore? What do Disneyland-ers think? It's a RIDE or something?!
:lmao: ;)
two years ago I went and got to stay at the Grand Californian...VERY nice...it's like the Wilderness Lodge kinda...it's RIGHT smack in the middle of Downtown Disney!
YAY for Disney anything!!!:cool1:

a) Thanks.
b) the shorts were not hard at all! just cut some strips of ribbon, feed them one at a time under the foot of the machine so they are all connected, stitch another row to make it more stable, I serged the top because I could, then stitch onto the pant leg--no seam opening or anything like that :thumbsup2
c)Lily was born 2 days before Jayden's 8th birthday :lovestruc
d) the monorail now stops at downtown disney, not the DLH  at least that is how I remember it a couple of years ago. We don't ride the monorail much at DLR--as I recall it is not even air conditioned. I remember it stopping on the track and having to sit there forever before it started up again. And with only 2 stops--DTD and Tomorrowland, it is not that useful either. We stayed at the Grand Californian a few years ago also. We loved it!!!

what dates are you going. I am waiting for the school break to be announced for next school year and we are planning.!!! Would love to meet up!

October 15-20 (although I wouldn't mind another day! ) We would LOVE to meet you (and bask in the glory of your kids' customs!)

It is midnight here. We have less than 24 hours till we leave. I finally finished Jenna's Pirate outfit and I still have three nightgowns and one Epcot outfit to make. I hope I can get everything done before we leave tomorrow. I don't need sleep do I?

HAVE A GREAT TRIP!!

soooooooooo cool :worship: :thumbsup2

Now, you know you need to stay far away from Charlotte for the next week or so. The race traffic is going to get worse! I should know, I live behind the track! I can't wait till they all go home!

Eww behind the track! That would drive me nuts! My entire family are huge race fans and I even told my daughter we will be sticking it out here for the next two weeks. She wanted to go to the festival in uptown next weekend and I said no way! She's just trying to figure out how to get closer to Kasey Kahne!:lovestruc Funny kid...can't figure out he's a little to old for her!:lmao: But, no, I would be like you...but we may get a taste of it sooner than later...they are building a road course up here in Spencer....more traffic on the scary Yadkin River Bridge!:scared1:

How silly am I? I got the sewing machine last night and looked over the booklet. Now I am scared to take the thing out of the box and set it up! My mom is gone for the weekend so I said I would try my hand at setting it up and start in on the criss cross dress from YCMT. Now if only I can get my nerve up to do it!

Those Pj's are too cute. I use snaps alot too. I did button holes last night and it was a tragedy. I need more snaps! Stat!!

Who made this and what pattern is it??

I can't remember who made it, but it looks like a pillowcase type top and just a regular pair of pants.
