Well not really, but kind of - So I read about the FREE ticket upgrades and stuff on these boards recently. So I called Disney to see if I coud take advantage of the code/offer. Our ressie that was already bought and paid for, and fell within the date range I read about on Mousesavers... so i figured i would call, the least they would say is nope, sorry... anyway, i called last weekend to check and see if we could add it to our reservation and they said "nope, sorry" - the rooms that the code is offered on are all full. So as I learned with dining reservations, keep trying back and hopefully, eventually, somone will cancel. Well needless to say - someone did and we got free ticket upgrades and now Disney is paying us $177 and change!! How great is that?? So here is our new cost:

Well here's the deal I was GOING to get but canceled [boo hoo].

No Insurance
Port Orleans Riverside $2293 which was $450 off of rack rate [so basically dining free]

OR

Beach Club $3469.98 this one included trip insurance I think
which was $561 off rack rate

I called and was told I had a pin code. I thought something happened to the code when I switched to POR. It didn't seem like such a good deal at the time, but now I see it was. But I just wasn't excited about cramming 5 of us in a small room...now doesn't seem so bad. LOL.

DH just didn't want to commit....SIGH. I should have just kept it on books 'just in case'. LOL.

Now I just received a postcard in the mail so I might call for kicks and see how the deal compares. I'll post if I do.

Our party consists of 4 adults, DS6 & DS2. We are staying in a 2BR villa at VWL 8 days 7nights in August. We did 8 day park hoppers & dining. We are paying $7500.00 with out our flights. Considering upgrading to DDP & water park options. Not sure though. We'll see when the trip gets a little closer!

Was the AAA discount on the room and tickets?

Sorry it took me so long to see this. I believe the discount is only on the rooms but I haven't seen the actual breakdown.
