Free DDP Booking SUCCESS!!? - Post 'Em Here!

I called my travel agent at AAA on Saturday and got her all set up with what I wanted to book and the code and everything. She took care of it for me first thing Monday morning. No booking fee. Not only did I get exactly what I wanted but I didn't have to wait on hold for hours and I got all those nice little AA perks like the parking pass and a round of miniature golf and Storytelling etc... The boys and I will be at ASMu over Labor Day weekend gorging on free dining

Same with me Anniegirl! I love my AAA extras....My agent said it took her less than 10 minutes on the phone to get it taken care of!!

I thought you couldn't booked the storytelling until a couple before your trip and you also need a voucher.

Total: $2235.81, including tax.

This will be our first time at POFQ, so don't know what to expect, but definitely looking forward to it.

This is part of the reason I dont see why people use a TA for disney. It just seems so easy to do it yourself and you are gurenteed to get what you want

I booked with AAA because I got a room discount but next time I'm going to wait until I hear about free dining.

It's just as easy to have my AAA TA call and get me exactly what I want. Then I get all the AAA perks I'm accustomed to, like the parking pass, discount card, the mini golf, etc. I have to do all my own air travel as we fly non-rev, so having the TA take the time to call on my behalf is nice.

I have a really fantastic TA from Small World. She has given me a lot of advice on different things and made all the changes on everything. I love it because she has made all the calling and holding and everything. I just had to tell her what we wanted.

We got exactly what we wanted with free dining.

Yes, but you have one of the good AAA agents.... some of them won't do what their customer's want "it's too much trouble" I guess I would just think it's too much trouble for me to allow them to make money off of me.

If I had an agent like that, I would find another one!! There are lots of AAA offices around! I had a bad one last year, but everything went ok, she was just not fun to deal with. This year, I found a new lady, and she has been just great!!

Ooooohhhh, I use Small World Vacations too! I've used them last year for the first time, and they were so friendly and helpful! They got us what we wanted, and last year before I knew about free dining. She got me the hook up and let me know that I might as well since it was free!!! Very good service, and what's even better!! It's FREE!!

This year we set up with another TA with Small World. The TA I used last year is unavailable to plan trips this year. Beth just set up our stay at WL from 9/8-9/14. She worked with us to get us a better deal and get us exactly what we wanted. She was super friendly and helpful. I did the flight stuff on my own, and I sent over my flight info so she can set up our magical express. She is incredible. Kuddos to BETH at SMALL WORLD VACATIONS!!!

We are using Magical Journeys and our TA has been extremely prompt & helpful - this is 3rd time we changed ressies!

I havent used a TA in many many years but happy we used a Disney specialist to be on top of these codes and changes.

Didnt think we would make it to WDW at all this year so we are psyched for free dining!!

43 min. wait. Booked CBB for 9-17 to 9-27. Be there for my 50th birthday Free dining, the only way to have it. Booked all all the dining locations on Monday (they go fast).

CM was very friendly and nice. Have never had a bad CM in the 16 yrs. of booking.

This morning would be a GOOD reason for having a TA! This was bookable on the TA site and I had my clients booked in 5 minutes, while those that didn't use a TA had to sit on hold for an hour or more, and many missed out due to this!

My clients are clueless about Disney, ALL OF THEM! They know no DISboards, or Allearsnet. They love that I book it all, do their dining for them, book their air, etc and they don't have to think about it. I send out a nice packet with everything all planned out for them. I use Tour Guide Mike to help plan their dining and park days (I don't share his information with them, they just think I am a genius ). I also use pretty much only SW air, which is huge around here. I watch that and get credit after credit for them when the price goes down. Many clients I even give them cash back, as I use the credits up with no problem. They get that choice.

That being said, many of the agents at my agency are older, retired people. They book a lot of Disney, but they have NO clue about this promotion yet, as Disney hasn't sent a thing to us in email yet. I am sure we will get it today. So, that will be when they let thier clients know.

I was up Monday and this morning, bright and early, booking trips and got everything I needed!

So,it really is about the actualy agent you use and how much the know their product. Like I have had a lot of interest lately for all inclusives, and one for Italy...CLUELESS! But I am learning and have made some mistakes along the way and that may make these clients no respect me as much as my Disney ones do, they think I am amazing! But I just know that product is all it is and LOVE the product!!!
