New Spoodles Menu (Details/Prices in here)

Yum!! Everything looked wonderful. We have not been back to Spoodles sinec our May '06 trip. The menu was almost the same as the other resort TS restaurants. Chicken, pasta, steak. This looks as if it will be more true to the spirit of the restaurant and will no doubt be a draw for those looking for something different. Thanks for the post!

Glad we didn't go there last week when we stayed at the Boardwalk! They took off the one veggie entree (for DH) and the dish DD would have eaten. Looks like they have turned away some steak eaters, vegetarians and 'disney adults'.

They'll gladly pull together a great vegetarian entree for anyone who asks for it. In my experience, the menu is just a guideline at Spoodles, and the chefs there have always been more than accommodating with regard to any special requests. It has always seemed to me that if they've got the ingredients in the kitchen, they'll gladly make it for you.

:sad1: Very, very disappointing. Spoodles had the greatest fettucine alfredo. I can't believe it is no longer available!! :sad1: Thanks, though for the kebob photos! That does look good!!

i think the photos look great. we mayhave to adjust some ADR to try out the new menu

Our Waitress said the Rigatoni was available with a mix of alfredo and marinara OR just one or the other. So for those who are not fans of red sauces you'll still have an option. I agree with the post above about requesting a different dish, I saw the chef come out many times in regards to the new menu and I know of two special dishes he made at two seperate tables next to us, so it seems it can be done.

:sad1: I was looking forward to the salmon. :sad2: I had it last year and it was the best meal of the trip for me!

Not sure if I will cancel but I am disappointed. The offering looks good but when you have your heart set on a specific thing it makes you :sad1:

I agree! What happened to the salmon? We went there last year and it was great. I am also disappointed with the change in the children's menu. My DD loved the cheese flatbread and the make your own sundae. Both appear to be gone.

Thanks for the update and pictures. We're definitely going to try the Snapper and Kabobs this time around. pirate:

The children's menu is the same - flatbread and sundae are still there.

The menu change definitely moved towards more bold and rustic Meditarannean flavors. Unfortunately, salmon is not found in the Mediterannean.

Don't be afraid to ask the chef to make something special - they like that sort of thing. The open, casual atmosphere at Spoodles tends to invite that anyway.

Awesome! Thank you so much for the post. We're eating here the first night we arrive in June. I'm so excited! :)

Looks like we will be changing our August ADR also!
My husband is a steak eater ( a kabab wont do the trick) and I was looking foward to the stew, salmon or lemon chicken which are all gone now!
Dont know where we will go now. any suggestions for a plain steak and potato lover?
We already have:
Whispering Canyon
Prime Time
Rose and Crown
LeCellier
Kona

Yachtman's

I just made a ressie for the last night of Alfredos (8/31) and am considering cancelling our ADR to Spoodles earlier in the week to compensate. This new menu just doesn't do it for me and I am a little disappointed since I was looking forward to trying it again (last time was honeymoon in 1997):(

Most would agree thiat this is a good thing, since most TS restaurants seem to have very similar menu's. Personaly, I can't imagine eating steak every night - live a little!

Wow, I'm so glad to see that the Calamari has returned. :goodvibes Sounds like what we had last trip at Narcoossee's. Very Good! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 My DM and I had it one our first visit to Spoodles, and were disappointed when it was take off the menu. We've had a few meals since that first trip, but we're disappointed the last time, and haven't been back. We may have to try it again.

Another possibility for September (maybe it can take the place of 1900 Park Fare which will change from buffet, to preplated, while we are there :confused3 or Alfredo's which will close on 8-31 :confused3-never had a chance to try it!)

Thanks for posting the new menu. Red Snapper sounds good, It is good to see something a little different on the menu.

Dizneydaz

I was also looking forward to the Portuguese Stew but I don't see it listed on the new menu. Am I missing something?

Sounds wonderful to me. We haven't been able to book our ADR's yet. :sad1 We have 2 more weeks before we can book them, but I think I'm going to have to add Spoodles onto our week. ;)
