I don't know why, but I'm struggling to understand all the meal time options and I have several questions would greatly appreciate you seasoned pros help me out. T-minus 77 days!

Buffet- available for breakfast and lunch, but not dinner, correct?

Rotational dinning for dinner- we will be assigned our rotation once on board. For a 7 night cruise on the Magic we will do each restaurant twice and one a third time for pirate night. We have late dinning. Woot!

Here is where I get confused- I see folks say the main dinning rooms are open for breakfast and lunch. Do you need reservations for these or just pick one of the three? How do you know what times they are open? Do you have to go at a certain time?

Quick bites: 2 options on the magic. Included in cost, correct? I assume they will have set hours they are open.

Embarkation day: This is also something I can't find an answer to. Let's say we get the latest possibly PAT time. Will we still be on the ship in time to have lunch at cabanas or somewhere on the ship?

Disembarkation: I am sure this will make so much more sense once we are there. I read about second seating dinner being able to have a later breakfast in the main dinning room. What is "late?" Is cabanas open for breakfast this day?

Also even though it's still on the website and app- non of the ships brought back character breakfasts after Covid, right?

Thanks in advance!

Generally it's the same one. Hours for service will be on the app, or in the Navigator.

Is cabanas open for breakfast this day? The late seating for breakfast relates to the final morning. Early dining for dinner in the MDR is generally around 5:15-5:45 (breakfast on debarkation day around 7:00) with late seating generally around 7:30-7:45 (breakfast on debarkation day around 8:00). Yes Cabanas is open the final morning (at least it used to be).

On embarkation day, sit-down lunch (probably Rapunzel’s on the Magic) is typically available from 12-2 and buffet lunch from 12-3. The quick-service places on the pool deck are also open until around 6, except for 45 minutes or so before and after the muster drill.

On debarkation day, I think 1st seating breakfast is at 6:30 or 7 with 2nd seating breakfast at 8:00 or 8:30. Cabanas is typically open for breakfast, though it is not well-advertised.

Character breakfasts haven’t returned. There was one on Pixar Day at Sea, but I don’t think any other special sailings.

Even late embarkation will be fine for Cabanas. They won't close you out.

Each day ONE of the full-service restaurants opens for breakfast and lunch. No res needed.

There are at least 3 quick service options on the Magic - Pizza, Burger/American (can't remember names) and Daisy's Delites (my fav - fruit, salads, wraps). There's also a soft serve ice cream and the Cove Cafe has complimentary sweet treats.

On debarkation, early dining sets at their last dining room early (maybe 7ish). Late dining sets at their last dining room maybe 8ish. Cabanas is also open.

Embarkment day you should be able to get lunch in Cabana’s or any of the pool side quick service places. They shut down just before the muster drill. Everyone should be on by than.

Last day you can go to the restaurant you were at the night before for dinner. Since you are late seating it will be at 8:00. They want people out of their cabins by 8. Yes you can go to Cabanas as will but I believe it is peared down that morning as is the breakfast menu in the restaurant. You also can’t do room service that morning.

Only restaurant that you pay extra is Palo and the ice cream shop ,not to be confused with the soft serve ice cream. The coffee shop are also extra but if on the magic you can get the snack in the case free anytime.

You can order room service that is included soda is extra if you order it from the bar or room service. You can get Mickey bars , chocolate chip cookies and milk. Cheese plates. The list is in the drawer of the desk. There is a thing you can hang on your door for coffee in the morning and fruit , cereal , bagels but no other real hot breakfast.

When you get on the ship your rotation will be in your app. If you go at the top scroll to dining and you can see what is open for breakfast and lunch. This also shows you the menu to help you decide where you want to eat. Menus are also there for your evening meals.

The Room Service Menu is on the App. I don’t think it’s in the drawer anymore.
Good to know I will have to check it out. We usually order the same thing and never look anymore. Maybe I’m missing out on something…lol

Cabanas is always open on debark morning. Not advertised at all and generally pretty quiet....they want everyone off as fast as possible which is why they don't mention it.

The breakfast on PDAS was not character dining. It was breakfast with a couple of characters that came out to sing a song while moving through the aisle.

Correct....no menus in the drawer. They do still have the hang tags in the drawer that you place out the night before for breakfast.
