Will there ever be a walking path from RIV to HS?

I love RIV, and two things have kept me from purchasing there, 1. resale restrictions (both direct that affect resale, and resale limiting resorts) and 2. lack of walking path to HS. If Disney built a walking trail (which is not difficult it is basically a similar walk from RIV to HS as it is from BC to HS - I think this would be the best resort. Is there any chance of a walking trail being built there? I believe DS has a walking over pass. Diseny would need to build a walking over pass, then its a simple walk on the side walk to HS.

The skyliner is so efficient at moving a large volume of people that it seems unlikely.

The route would have to go over Victory Way and a canal. If you mirror the skyliner route, have to deal with the entrance to the DHS parking lot (high traffic) and the unspectacular trek across the parking lot. If the path were closer to Buena Vista dr, then have to navigate around the (also high traffic) bus entry & exit point.

If the skyliner goes down, it's because of poor weather. I can't see people wanting to walk 20 minutes in a FL thunderstorm. People with concerns about the skyliner itself (heights, etc) have about 25 other resort choices. It just feels like a solution to a problem that doesn't exist.

You can enter along the walkway from the BW area. DH and I walked the street up to RIV - it is possible - just not safe and would not recommend without an overpass bridge and bonafide sidewalks

I think it could be done fairly easily by just building a sidewalk along Buena Vista drive. This would lead to the existing walkway to HS. For some reason, Disney doesn't seem at all interested in building sidewalks.
exactly. It is not difficult to do. They could just extend the sidewalk and have a cross walk if they do not want to add a walking bridge to cross the street.

Crosswalks are notorious for having people who jaywalk in them. Pedestrian traffic that crosses Buena Vista could add problems to an already traffic-challenged road.
Pretty sure Disney doesn't want the foot traffic near the main roads for safety concerns, and they also were able to save quite a bit of money by not being required to build sidewalks the way that most communities and commercial areas are required to do.
