I need help from creative minds!

My granddaughter's 1st birthday party is "wild one" themed and we are looking for foods to go along with that.

Any creative ideas? Toddler approved foods get extra points!

Chocolate Covered Frozen Bananas

Teddy Grahams

Animal Crackers - if you do treat bags, guests can even take home boxes of animal crackers

Fruit Kabobs on a tray covered w/ safari/palm leaves

A drink station could be named ”The Watering Hole.”

I mostly have ideas for apps/finger foods but here's what I've seen or done....

Hummus dip in the middle. Cut up peppers and veggies as the mane. I wasn't able to post a link, but if you google the idea you come up with lots of images that would work.

Also you can google lots of ideas for the hungry caterpillar for brightly colored fruit options that are great. I've used them at book themed baby showers before.

If you don't want to do pretzel rods, you can do oreos with chocolate melts drizzled over for zebras, tigers etc. You can usually find white chocolate covered oreos right now too which may make it easier. You could also do the same with marshmallows.

If you do a hero, just make the front of the sliced hero into the head of a snake (olives for the eyes. 2 thin sliced roasted peppers for the fangs). Not sure where you are located but by hero I mean, sub, Italian sandwich, hoagie, etc.

Last idea I saw at a baby shower but would work here is a chocolate chip cheeseball decorated with chocolate chips as a hedgehog with graham crackers around it on a tray for dessert.

And you can always do the traditional ants on a log with celery with peanut butter or cream cheese and raisins.

Hope some of these suggestions help.

So, everyone is thinking "wild ones" is safari/animal themed. My thoughts went to the book, Where the Wild Things Are... one of my favorite books from my younger days.

You add a drawn picture, copy of a picture of the little boy from the book in a boat and float it on a blue punch and you have a "Sailed off through the night" drink.

Bugles can be "Terrible Claws."

The cake can be decorated like its a log with a gold crown on the top.

Cupcakes can have piped on, spiky frosting, like fur with horns and eyes.

Core and quarter an apple, slice the quarter piece halfway and put mini marshmallows in it as teeth... it looks like lips with teeth. These would be the "terrible teeth."
