Wicked movie

Who is going to see wicked in theatres? I am on Thursday at 3pm at the amc disney springs it's also my birthday.

I am looking forward to it. I am a big Wicked fanI have heard good things about the movie so I was critically of it being 2 part. Hopefully this Saturday afternoon and if not the following one,

I plan to go to Universal Studios to see movie and also walk thru their new Wicked Store with authentic props.
AMC Disney Springs is my favorite theatre I am going to see that at this location also for next day if I love it the first time.

Do not miss tomorrow night 11/19 the NBC Documentary about the making of WICKED
I think it airs 10:00 p.m. ET and will be streamed afterward on Paramont or Peacock …( whatever Universal owns for their streaming channel )

Also Disney Cruise will have live stream inauguration of newest Cruise Ship at 8:00 p.m. just before the wicked documentary.

Haha.. Sounds like my same schedule for the upcoming week! Just add the new Macy's Day Thanksgiving Day Parade with the new Minnie balloon and you're golden.

I have been there one very cold Thanksgiving morning and saw the Rockettes Show!
Now I am happy to go to Universal for their version…
Universal has amazing confetti after Santa lights the Xmas Tree It sparkles and shines .
I think they put silver confetti in the mix It is better than magical!

If you love the parade …Macys online is selling a Macys Day Parade sweatshirt this year. It looks red but is burgundy when I received it .

Unless it streams before part 2 comes out next year, I'll wait on seeing Wicked until I can see all of it. LOVE the musical.

I have my tickets for the first showing Friday morning. I wanted a time where there won't be many kids or teens there. Plus, I don't drive when it's dark, and the movie is 2 hours and 40 min long and I didn't want to go in the afternoon when it gets dark so early.
I've been waiting for this movie forever and I'm excited. Believe it or not, it will be the first movie I've seen in a theater since the original Jurassic Park, lol

My girls and I want to see it, but DH cannot stand Ariana Grande. So, I'm not sure what we're going to do. I'm OK with it being split in two so that they can try and keep true to the Broadway production without making a ton of cuts or story improvs. I'm just curious to see how I feel about it once I watch. I have my Broadway faves when it comes to Glinda and Elphaba. What I've heard of Cynthia Erivo sounds really good, so I think I'll be just fine with Elphaba. I wasn't a fan of Grande's Penny in Hairspray Live! So, I'm a little concerned that her Glinda may evoke some of those Penny memories.

Going Monday night. Bought tickets day one of sale to get our usual seats. Me, DS#1, DS#2, DD, DH, DSis, DNiece! Wicked Witch is one of my people, Wizard of Oz one of my favorites (actually have lots of collectibles in my office), 2 kids saw show in NYC (I won lottery for two tickets and let them go) and then we all saw in on tour here. SO EXCITED FOR THIS MOVIE! And yes, DS#1 and I will probably go a couple more times.

I so miss my girl in Great Movie Ride! One of the best scenes and animatronics EVER!

This will literally be the first movie since the pandemic that is important/entertaining enough to get us back into the movie theater! Should be really good.

I was planning on seeing it Saturday morning but a few things have gotten thrown in to muck things up, so we’ll see. So maybe Thanksgiving afternoon. The theater with the good seats is an hour away.

Yup! A one-year intermission, which I assume will come right after Defying Gravity.

Well considering "Act 1" is over 2.5 hours long, they kind of had to break it into 2 parts. 5 plus hours would be way too long for a single movie.
