Which do you prefer at the VGF OG studios vs resort studios in BPK and why. Thanks 😊

We have stayed in the BPK studio. It is very nice. We haven’t stayed in the original studios. We usually eat breakfast in the room and having the kitchenette in the original makes things much easier for us. We wouldn’t not stay at BPK. DVC just didn’t want to spend the money to make kitchenettes in BPK. I do realize that a lot of DVC owners don’t use it, but a lot do.

Please help me decide!
I have only stayed in 1 bedrooms at VGF but my pick would be the deluxe studios over the resort studios.

They both sleep 5 and Resort studios are technically larger but when hanging out in the room we prefer to have a couch than sitting on the bed so that is the main reason. Second reason would be the two showers for getting ready. Third reason is laundry. No neither have in room laundry but there are 200 resort studios at BPK to share the laundry facilities where in the original building there are only 47 lock-off studios so at most you are only fighting with 46 other families but it will most likely be less for those that book a 2 bedroom lock-off to sleep 10 instead of 9 in a dedicated 2 bedroom.

Edit: yes I realize the BPK has a couch but it does not face the TV.

I would say it depends on the size and ages of your group. The two shower areas in the OG building are really nice as are the laundry facilities. Also the kitchen area in the OG building is really nice too and if you plan on just having 2 people in the room or closing the Murphy bed for a place to sit during the day I would agree with the OG building. However if you have more than 2 and you plan on having the Murphy bed out all the time then the BPK building has the benefit of a separate couch. Also if you plan to eat outside of the room more often BPK is much more conveniently located to Gaspy's and the boat dock.

I prefer the deluxe studios over the resort one. The split bath and having a couch that faces the TV is nice, not to mention being able to fold up the second bed during the day to have more room

I like having the little kitchenette with a 2nd sink as well.

Now, we don’t do studios that much anymore but when I do, deluxe is what I strive for!

It will be my 17 year old son and I. I was leaning towards the resort Studios because there seems to be next to nothing to unpack and put clothes away in the OG studios, but you’re right I do like the idea of being able to fold up the Murphy bed! I just don’t want to live out of suitcase all week

In the OG building there is a closet that has shelves where you can stack clothes. I think if it is just the two of you either will work fine. If you have a lot of clothes I say go with the BPK building. Either option I think you guys will love it.

Does anyone feel building locations are a factor?
BPK is certainly closer so some things but it is not a factor for us. If it was OKW and they were different types of studios certainly but not at VGF.

As long as location is being talked about I was actually pleasantly surprised that the walk from PIT to the Great Ceremonial house wasn't too bad either.

yes! We have only stayed in the main building at GF - so have no experience with either the resort studios or the villas studios. Trying to determine which one to book for next year. I keep leaning towards the resort studio though because it is so much closer to the quick service and Enchanted Rose and we don't really use the kitchen much.
