Where is my one transferred point?

I had MS transfer one point from one contract to another so I'd have enough to pull for a waitlist. The point left my other contract but where exactly is it because it's not reflecting in the one I moved it to. Now I do remember something about a temporary contract or something but when I go to waitlist the room it's not showing me anything except next use year to borrow from.

I set up the waitlist to borrow from 2026 if it comes trhough but does that include the "temporary" one point contract as well?

Will defer to someone else but I think transferred points don’t show up online even though they are there.

Points don’t transfer between contracts. Contracts can never change sizes.

You move them between different memberships. When that happens, they create a temporary contract in your account to hold them.

You will only see it when you go to book something online. Since it’s temporary it doesn’t show anywhere else.

I will add to that, sometimes you end up having to call MS to complete a reservation with transferred points...sometimes you don't.

I don't know why, but the system is glitchy like that.

So assuming mine glitches what would I have to do for a waitlist. In other words I have a waitlist for one night that’s going to pull from 2026 if it goes through. But I needed that one point to complete it. Would it tell me if there was an issue or would the waitlist just not fill.

After you do the waitlist, call MS and ask the CM to put a note on your waitlist regarding the transferred point. Hope you get what you want without wait listing. Good luck!

I am confused. What UY is the transferred point? Thst matters on whether it can be used for your waitlist.

If you have to borrow to finish up the night, then the system will use it and borrow the rest.

When MS processes they should do it assuming it’s going to work.

Your timing with this question is impeccable. I JUST got off the phone with a knowledgeable rep. I told him my issue and as soon as he went to notate to use the transferred point he paused and said uh oh there’s a problem and instantly I realized what it was.

I borrowed from my June membership for a waitlist in February. No good obviously. I asked very nicely if I can get it transferred back and he spoke to a supervisor who agreed the last rep should’ve known not to transfer it. So I saved the point yay lol.

But now I do not have enough points to fill the waitlist so I must stalk and then call MS to book it with a one time use point.

Another thing you can do, if you want to be ready is find a fake night to book and ask to buy the OTU point….then cancel that night.

It will put the point in your membership for use on a waitlist.

You just want to be sure that the OTU is in the same UY of the trip and that anything you do for the fake night is at least 31 or more days from now.

The drawback is you are buying one point and if it doesn’t fill, you spent $20 for nothing.

That’s a good tip. Let’s say I buy that point and it turns out I don’t need it. I have an April trip booked with the same membership. Could they always reallocate that one point into that one freeing up a point to bank basically

As long as that trip was booked within 7 months and you can do the swap at least 31 days in advance to avoid holding status.
