Is this cake worth $23 dollars?

We had a nice little rest before walking over to the Cake Bake restaurant.

I checked us in and noticed the bakery did not have a line, so we went in and looked around. It is beautiful in there and all the treats looked delicious. It is hard to justify paying $16 dollars for a brownie bar. We didn’t buy anything since we were heading into the restaurant soon.

I got the text that our table was ready within 10-15 minutes.

We went into the restaurant and were seated in the room to the left of the hostess stand. It is not the carousel room.

We had a table looking out onto the Boardwalk.

We decided to share an entree and a piece of Birthday cake.

I ordered an iced tea and it was delicious! I’m not sure why but it was one of the best iced teas I have ever had. D had a Diet Coke.

I got up, walked around, and took some pictures of the restaurant. It really is beautiful inside.





We ordered The Chicken Picatta.

This was Parmesan crusted chicken breasts served with lemon caper pasta and arugula. This was very good and a big portion so it was really shareable. It was light for a pasta dish. Next we ordered the dessert.

Pixie Fetti® Birthday Cake

Three layers of vanilla confetti cake with a hint of almond. Filled and frosted with Princess Pink vanilla almond buttercream and topped with Pixie Fetti® confetti.

The buttercream was silky smooth and very flavorful. It was the best part in my opinion. The cake was good but definitely not the best cake I have ever had. It was a tad dry on the edges. Overall we enjoyed it. Was it worth $23 dollars? No I don’t think so! Was I mad about the cost of the meal here? No not really, I bought to treat my sister and overall everything was delicious. I am never mad about paying for a meal I am happy about. Tell me what you all think, especially if anyone reading has experienced this restaurant.

I will say, the restaurant didn’t do anything special for D’s Birthday. We did note it and talked about it to the waitress. She did put a little extra confetti and edible glitter on the piece of cake.

We finished up and headed out to walk over to Epcot.

I had made 3 FP$$ for Epcot. Signs of F&G in Epcot were popping up, yay!



I sure missed Gran Fiesta in Mexico it was closed for refurbishment.

We headed to our FP rides. We did SE, Soarin, LWtL, Nemo, and Mission Space (green), D really likes this. I think it is fine nothing great. We did Figment last. It was getting close to park closing. We walked through Journey of Water. This really is beautiful at night.


Next, we walked slowly through WS listening and watching Luminous again. 3rd time this trip!

We made it to Frozen and decided to skip it, D didn’t want to get wet, haha She got wet the last time she rode, oh my, she was now like Andi and boycotting Frozen!

We had already knew we didn’t want to try for GotG during the extra hours, the wait is usually long and we had plans to ride it on Wednesday.

Instead we walked to France and rode Remy twice! D does love this one! The wait was around 15 minutes the first time and less than that the second time.

After our rides we headed out and walked back to our resort.

Magic=pilots on the falcon, Ronto roaster, seeing a glimpse of Mando, Beauty and the Beast show, Cake Bake dinner, boat transportation, walking to Epcot, and the best iced tea ever!

Tragic=I don’t like how everything but attractions basically closes down during the extra evening hours. Unfortunately we met a few very cranky CMs this day, not sure why? At the entrance to both parks, no smiles or greeting and asking questions a few times, I felt like I was bothering them. I think that is it for today, more Magic than Tragic!

A day without ToT but we had an expensive slice of cake!

I had to wait until we tapped in to TSM to open up the tiers. Basically I could not do the switch before hand because MMRR is tier 1 and ToT is tier 2.

I have so much to learn.
Not going to bother, since by the time I get back there again, it will have all changed again.

There was a mom and son in front of us. The boy was a teen with special needs. They were assigned pilots and his mom asked us if we would be the pilots. It would be too much for her son.

I told D let’s do it! She was nervous about it, but I did convince her to give it a try.

Glad it worked out for everyone.

Verdict? It was so much fun! Were we great? Heck no but quite a bit better than some pilots I have rode with.

And I'm sorry... for those people who get annoyed at less than perfect pilots... Go jump in a lake.

We, unfortunately, arrived right at cluster o clock! Wow HS is the worst at RD.

We once arrived right at general opening, and it took almost 1/2 hour to get into the park. It is the worst park if you miss early entry.

We decided to have an early lunch in GE. We each had a Ronto wrap. This was D’s first time trying this and she really liked it.

I had heard a lot of good things about a Ronto wrap. We finally tried one and were not impressed. It didn't help that it was overcooked.

A mom and a little girl (3-4)years old shared the row with us. The girl was a little nervous especially with the wind blowing in the one area. She did seem to like it a little better in some spots, overall she did cry more than laugh

It would be a bit scary for a young child.

We love that ride. I always notice something new in there.

We decided to do the Beauty and Beast show next. I haven’t seen this show in many years.

We finally saw this show for the first time in ages. We thought it was pretty good.

We had a table looking out onto the Boardwalk.

The Cake Bake Shop looks so pretty - but those prices??!! Nope. Not gonna happen. And, as much as I love Studios, it is kind of the worst all around - hard to get in to, doesn't handle crowds as well as other parks, very limited rides for someone who can't do the "thrill" stuff (my aunt can basically only ride TSM and MMRR.) This park needs some love.

Hey Everyone!
I have been watching so many videos and ride previews of Epic Universe! I am so excited! I was wishing I could have worked in a trip before it opens with the AP previews but the dates just don’t work for me!
Andi and I are very excited for our early September trip. I can’t wait to explore the park. I am especially excited for HP Ministry of Magic and Darkmoor, the classic monster area with the ride Monsters Unchained! This looks amazing!
To sound cliche it is going to be Epic!

I will be in Florida when the park opens but I will be at Disney and maybe a quick hop over to the OG Universal! I am hoping to meet up with Vanessa @vamassey1 and Molly @Mollydolly334
My trip is in late May. I am staying the first night at AS Sports. I arrive around 8pm. I will move over to CBR for 4 nights. I have requested a room close to the Skyliner. I plan to spend time at Epcot enjoying the F&G so the Skyliner resort is perfect. I’m not a huge fan of CBR, but I love the Riviera which is next door. I will be eating over there some as well. I love Primo Piatto and my favorite iced coffee ever! The honey almond cold brew. I will picking this up at least once!
I didn’t make any dining reservations nope not a one! I’m hoping I can maybe have dinner with Vanessa and Molly one night if it works out.
I plan to go to each park but mostly Epcot! And of course Dinosaur my favorite ride ever!
I am looking forward to this little solo trip.

Today was DHS with FP$$ for TSM and SDD. I also still had ToT. I wanted to trade it for MMRR, however I had to wait until we tapped in to TSM to open up the tiers. Basically I could not do the switch before hand because MMRR is tier 1 and ToT is tier 2.

We took our favorite transportation over to HS! The boat of course. We, unfortunately, arrived right at cluster o clock! Wow HS is the worst at RD. We wore our patience pants and finally got into the park! Ugh we were in the worst line possible. It was not moving at all! Once we made it to the entrance, we headed to TSL. Our first FP was for TSM. Once we tapped in, I switched ToT to MMRR. We had a fun ride, forever beavers D did beat me by a few thousand points! I’m losing my touch, lol We had Slinky next. It was a short wait in the FP line. I think we were in the 2nd to the last row. We do love this ride! Andi likes this one but not as much as I do. D really enjoys this one.

Next, I made a Smuggler’s Run FP.

We went into GE. I got a few pictures done. D didn’t want to join in the picture. I had a mando and Grogu shirt on.

We checked out Rise and the SR line was long and the SB line was over an hour so we passed.

We decided to have an early lunch in GE. We each had a Ronto wrap. This was D’s first time trying this and she really liked it.

We actually got a seat in the market area to eat our lunch.

Once lunch was finished, we decided to really check out GE. It was really fun going into the shops. The theming is really amazing. I sent a bunch of pictures to Jack. He really loves Star Wars.

Looks like a fun start to the your day at Studios! I've never been a pilot on MF so good for Donna that she gave it a try. I think I would be a little scared. I enjoy the Beauty and the Beast show but haven't seen it in a few years either. I'm always so drawn to the Frozen show. Looking forward to hearing about Cake Bake and your Epcot adventures!

I think you'll enjoy CBR. Go to Banana Cabana and have a piece of that delicious bread pudding for me.

I have purposely stayed off so that when, someday, I actually get there, it'll be fresh and unspoiled. I did think about using my days before we meet up to head over there after my conference mornings, but the costs just seem like a lot with having to add Ubers back and forth plus tix. Plus, I get some nice partial day ticket deal through the conference for Disney, so will probably just stay on property and do shorter days there.

as much as I love Studios, it is kind of the worst all around - hard to get in to, doesn't handle crowds as well as other parks, very limited rides for someone who can't do the "thrill" stuff (my aunt can basically only ride TSM and MMRR.) This park needs some love.

I agree, hopefully adding a new LM show and the Villians show will help out!

It did have a ton of frosting but it was so silky smooth and delicious not sickly sweet! I sure hope it is there and we get to visit together!

I have purposely stayed off so that when, someday, I actually get there, it'll be fresh and unspoiled. I did think about using my days before we meet up to head over there after my conference mornings, but the costs just seem like a lot with having to add Ubers back and forth plus tix. Plus, I get some nice partial day ticket deal through the conference for Disney, so will probably just stay on property and do shorter days there.

You have more control than me! I really wanted to hear about some of the rides because I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to ride but I think I will be fine! So far no info about if we can add the park to AP or not? That would be something I would be interested in.
