I was mid-30's and single, no kids. Have since married. DH and I have no children and are currently in our early 50's.
We were ~40 (one on either side), no kids. We purchased to solve a business need, not a personal need, as our employer had quit paying for our favorite IBM conference held annually at the Dolphin/Swan/YC Conference Centers. We attended that conference for a total of 20 years staying mostly at either the Dolphin or YC. We were already spoiled by timeshare ownership and knew we enjoyed 1BR units over hotels. So ... when the employer quit paying we figured we'd be better off having at least a small holding of DVC for booking BWV directly rather than paying out in cash (ugh!) or relying on inbound exchanges against our other timeshare. How old was everyone when you first bought into DVC? Also, what life stage were you at? Like, did you have young kids, older kids etc.
I’m asking as a 28 year old with no kids, but I go to Disney often. Just wanting to get some perspectives from people of different life stages of when to buy in
