What's your favorite See's Candy?

Mmmm I am SO glad I live in Reno where we have 4 See's locations! :thumbsup2

My personal favorites are the dark chocolate with raspberry in the middle, scotch kisses and scotchmallows MMMMMMMM MMMMMMM, I may have to go by there tomorrow!

My very own hand packed box of dark chocolate bordeaux! :thumbsup2

I've never had See's candy.

Me neither!!!! :confused3 Never seen, or heard of them until this thread!!!!

I gotta get out more! :goodvibes

California transplant to the Deep South here...and missing my See's. :( Some of my faves haven't been mentioned yet.

Scotch Kisses!!!!
Scotchmallow
Marshmint!!!!
Honeycombed Molasses Chips!!!!
Dark chocolate almond clusters

I think See's is superior to Godiva in that I can eat a whole box of See's before I feel sick. With Godiva, about 2 pieces do it. :thumbsup2

I have only had See's once (there isn't one around here) and I wasn't impressed. Someone sent me a box of little balls covered in tin foil so tightly it took 5 minutes to unwrap each one. Inside, a plain chocolate ball, nothing special.

I can see from reading this thread that the chocolate balls are not the way to go at See's!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm.... I LOVE the Chocolate Mint Tuffles!! And The White Choc Mint Truffles!! Since we moved down south I miss being able to go to See's and get those! Every once in awhile DH will order some for me -

You can't order the Choc Mint Truffles online but if you call you can :sunny:

No, the chocolate balls are boring! The rest of it is so good!!!

Here in Florida, they set up booths at selected malls (I think Westfield) for the holidays. They did a few years ago at a mall I was working in and I'd heard about them for years. Ended up getting hooked on those awesome peanut brittle bars.

OH HAPPPY DAY!!!!!      I just looked at their website to see if the locations are open AND THERE'S ONE NEARBY!!! I think I need to go take a road trip and suprise DH and the kids. We were in a bit of a funk when we ate the last toffette a few weeks ago.

I grew up in NJ but had an aunt in Laguna Beach. Every year right before Christmas she would send us a huge box of Sees. My parents would have to find a new hiding place for it every year so the kids didn't get into it before Christmas (it was always saved for Christmas day).
That aunt and my parents are gone now, but I order Sees candy every year for my family at Christmas. I love it, but I always wondered if it seemed extra good to me because of the nostalgia factor. But, I see lots of others like it too!
Oh, my favorites are the Nuts & Chews, especially anything caramel! :goodvibes

Serious withdrawal after moving to the east coast. My parents bring a 2 lb box of hand picked bordeaux from California when they visit us at Christmas.

It doesn't last long!!! :sunny:

You guys are a terrible influence! I went online and ordered a 1-lb custom box after reading this thread.
What is wrong with you people??? :teeth:

I have the same problem here in Tennessee. I grew up in California and have had a See's habit all my life. No other chocolatier comes close! Once a year I splurge and get Bourdeaux at Christmas. If I could only run down the street for a fix
But look at it this way. It's probably good that we can't run down the street for a See's fix. Yikes, I would probably be in a whole world of hurt. :smooth:

My nephews' wife just started working at one nearby. She said they had to taste everything before she started the job so she knew what each was. They also get to eat whatever they want during the day. I would love that job! (she is starting to gain weight though!) :teeth:

I also like to hand pick my 1lb box. I usually get 1/4lb of 4 of my favorites.

I can't read the thread 'cause it makes me too sad!!! We get See's kiosks here but it is not nearly the same as picking out your own things to go in the lb. Whenever I visit family in CA that is one of my sure stops. Scotchmallows are definitely the top of my list with milk chocolate covered almonds and any of the caramel containing ones not far behind at all!

Butterscotch squares, rum nougats, mayfairs, scotchmallows, orange creams, walnut fudge...I also loved the date chews which have been discontinued. DH always picks just my favorites when he buys me candy...one of the advantages of a 21.5 year marriage !

Oh....my. I would so gain weight too! Come to think of it, most of the ladies at my nearest See's are a bit on the Pooh size. That's OK! See's is WORTH IT. I went yesterday and bought some for an exchange and now I'm having a real hard time staying away from that Scotchmellow. So I put them in the basement and wrapped them up!

The peanut brittle transcends the very term "peanut brittle". I don't even like pb, but one bite of these little morsels converted me instantly. This is the only See's item I have ever had (it was a gift), but I know I would love all the rest of it. :)

I forgot the peanut brittle...we always have that for dessert on Christmas Day. Too good !!!

Nothing. :rolleyes1

Thank goodness for this thread, because after reading it and mentioning my favorite See's Candy, I remembered that I had a box of dark chocolate almond clusters hidden in the kitchen. I had to hide it because I ate at least 1/4 lb the day I purchased it. And from DH and DS.
