What must-do's at The Poly and The Swan?

We are spending 8 nights and 7 days (non-PH tickets) from Saturday - Sunday of Thanksgiving week.

We have 2 days each at MK, EP and HS and 1 day at AK. I expect that we will start our days very early and be finished by early afternoon. We like to have the afternoons to relax, swim, rest. Sometimes we go back to the park, but most often times, we don't.

Our first 3 nights are at the Poly and our last 5 nights are at the Swan. Any activities and things not to miss at these resorts? We have never stayed at a monorail resort. Our only other WDW trip was at BWV...so we are familiar with the Boardwalk/EP area.

This is what I have on my list so far...

Poly stay:
  • 'Ohana dinner
  • Electric Water Pageant from the beach (9:00-ish)
  • Rent Sea Raycer (2 people) or Boston Whaler (up to 6 people)
  • 1900 Park Fare dinner (walk to GF)
  • Monorail ride from the Poly all the way around back to the Poly
Swan stay:
  • Smores on the beach (every night 6-7)
  • Rent Sea Raycer (2 people) or Boston Whaler (up to 6 people) - YC/BC
  • Other watercraft rental - S/D
  • Dinner at Cape May
  • Boardwalk evening activities & buskers

Thanks for any tips!

I love the Tonga toast at Captain Cook's, so that would be a must for me. And if you're going to be at the swan, I'd plan to spend some time over at the boardwalk.

We are staying at the Poly for the first time on our upcoming trip. On my list of must-dos, I have a daily Dole Whip and ordering the Twilight Feast from room service. (Based on what I've read, Twilight Feast is very similar to the food you get at Ohana, but as room service. We are doing it on our first night.)

At the Swan, you may want to consider walking across the street to play Fantasia mini-golf. I would also recommend eating at one of the Swan/Dolphin restaurants which are some of the best on property. We particularly like Kimonos and bluezoo.

Spirit of Aloha dinner show at the Poly is great.

Also, at check in or in your room, you will get a calendar of daily activities (pool side and in the GCH - Main House). Hula Lessons, Polynesian Crafts, Trivia, lawn games etc...

Picabu at the dolphin has a salsa bar in the back of the dining room. You can get chips and salsa (with guac!) for about $4 to have as a snack or take to the pool. The watermelon salsa on the salsa bar is amazing!

Other watercraft rental - S/D
The S/D Swan Paddleboats are included in the resort fee, no additional rental charge.

This may help. It may be a bit different when you are there in November (this is for March-May) but mostly the same.

You'll have a couple days of this.

Oh yes...Dole Whip will be consumed more than once per day for sure! :)

If your party is 21+ and likes piano bars/singing, consider going to JellyRolls during your Swan stay. Also, Ample Hills creamery has delicious ice cream.
