What movies to pre-watch?

Confession: I'm not much of a Marvel fan. I find the whole superhero genre kind of tedious, actually.

As such, I'm not really looking forward to our two nights in the Marvel dining room on the Disney Treasure. I understand that one night is themed around Ant Man & the Wasp, and the second night is Guardians of the Galaxy. I've seen the original Ant Man (years ago), but not the sequel. Same with Guardians, I've seen the original (barely remember it), but not the sequels. And I didn't see any of the Avengers movies, which I understand are like a hero mashup type deal.

So the question: do I need to watch and/or re-watch any of these ahead of my cruise for the plots in the dinner shows to make sense? Or any other Marvel movies? Thanks!

No I have not seen any Marvel movies…lol So what they show on the screen is funny . They get you to push buttons on the thing on the table during this. But if you don’t it isn’t a big deal , all for fun. It is a little skit they do .

Now saying that they do trivia questions and tell you to push a bottom on the thing in the middle of the table. It has different colours that match the answers. There is no score or anything.

I'm glad they don't keep score. There are sooo many passengers who are Disney experts onboard that when we played Disney trivia on a cruise we really felt like novices. Way back when, DH and I knew enough Disney trivia that we were asked to be "ringers" to help a local adult team against some teenagers. The trivia game on the ship humbled us real quick.

I'm at a total loss in the whole Marvel world. Never followed the franchise and have no idea who all the characters are. When we were in the marvel restaurant on the Treasure I was totally lost.

The acoustics in the restaurant weren't great. They had the sound cranked high making the audio of what the characters were saying hard to understand. There was lots of shouting and explosions going on throughout the show.

I mentioned that to a friend who does follow Marvel and they said I basically did get the whole genre.
