Have never used anything other than Sun thru Saturday. I know at work there are some other countries that use a different date format which is helpful to know to avoid confusion. In the USA, date is typically mm/dd/yy. Some other countries use dd/mm/yy. So 3/7 could either be March 7 or July 3 which is good to know to avoid a misunderstanding when organizing a meeting !

It is mainly the US where they use MMDDYY. Most use DDMMYY although some countries in Asia use YYMMDD.

Any calendar I’ve ever purchased or received was Sunday to Saturday.

For date minder books for business, they were Monday to Sunday.
You mention business. I think it may also depend on whether a business operates only Monday through Friday, or if they operate seven days a week.

I find it absolutely fascinating how some simple things we never really think on very often have such interesting history - and differences across cultures and religions and countries! In the US, I've always thought of Sunday as the first day of the week, Saturday as the 7th. And there are religions that clearly designate Saturday as that '7th day of rest'. But in my past, even though Sunday in my area of NE USA was always a day of "rest", it was also the first day of the week! I remember when I was younger, almost nothing was open on Sundays - not stores, not businesses, certainly not alcohol sales.

So were we ending the week with rest, or starting the week with rest?!!

I'm the "other" vote - I prefer a wall calendar that goes Sun-Sat (traditional for my area) but the weekly checklist/calendar I print and keep on my kitchen binder is Mon-Sun. (I made the weekend look different, so I don't get messed up.)
