Good gin tastes NOTHING like that...

Beverly is meant to be an aperitif, to "cleanse the palate" and "enhance the taste of food". I think it works for the latter, as you'd pretty much eat anything to get the taste of Beverly out of your mouth, and think, "Well, it tastes better than Beverly..."

Definitely give it a try. We heard it was horrible but when we tried it, we loved it! It is very strong but if you like strong flavours, you might just enjoy it.

I saw the thread title, and my immediate thought was, "it's GROSS!" I suppose everyone should go try the different varieties, but the Beverly was not something I ever want to drink again! Though the watermelon kind was pretty good!

It's bad enough that people trick their friends/family into trying it knowing how awful it is. Go ahead and take a little sip--there's the off-chance that you'll be the 1 in 100 that thinks it tastes good. At least you'll know how much it sucks when you trick someone into tasting it.
