What did you find the most affordable way to buy theme park tickets? Magic Kingdom, Epcot, HS, Universal Studios... I've seen one discount site, but curious as to which site or sites have the best value and most reliable too.

Sometimes the best prices can be obtained through your employer. TicketsAtWork is popular with a number of employers.

If not, then I suggest checking Touring Plans' ticket calculator to see who has the best price for the ticket you need. Since ticket sellers tend to offer limited-time deals on specific tickets, it's a good idea to check often and be ready to buy if the price is right.

Otherwise, buying directly from Disney using gift cards that you purchased at a discount can actually be your best choice. It's not unusual to get 10% or more off of the face value of a GC if you are patient enough to ferret out the deals and collect GCs over a period of time.

LIke the poster above me I have found that Undercover Tourist is the best and cheapest place to buy Disney tickets, based upon 15 years of purchases and always ending up coming back to them after exhaustive searches for better deals. Once in a while you will find a better deal but overall from day to day I think UC is the best!

I am not much of an early planner. I tried to buy same day tickets from Undercover Tourist. I was told I needed to purchase at least 2 days in advance. I will definitely try them next time I head down.

I shop around but have found UC usually has the best prices and you can get refundable ones. Used to AAA had good prices but not so much any more.

Overall my price was cheapest going through Costco for a ticket/hotel package. (i took the cheapest Swan rate/fees/taxes I could find and subtracted that from the package to get my ticket price).

I have used UC before for Disney, and had no issues. I joined the email list for Universal and was notified when they were running discounts or package deals which helped us a few years ago.

Usually I've found the cheapest prices with UC as well. Occasionally I find a better deal through my jobs affiliations.

I second the ticket calculator. I used to use undercover tickets each time. The last 4 or 5 trips for me, boardwalk was cheapest. That calculator is easy to use and you can play around with different things to find the best for your fam.

Another option is to buy Disney gift cards at Target using your RedCard and you get 5% off. Or buy the cards at a supermarket with a credit card that gives points/miles/cb.

I priced UT, direct with Disney and Boardwalk. For us, Disney was still cheaper even with the price hike that happened today.

Edit to add that Disney is still cheaper when getting the gift cards at Target ;)

I purchased today for our June trip (2 ad, 1 ch for 7 days). I checked at UT, Disney, Boardwalk Ticketing, Tickets at Work, and Maple Leaf Tickets. Last week when I was checking prices, Boardwalk was the cheapest by about $25. Today at 7am, Maple Leaf was the cheapest by around $20.

Thanks, I am still figuring out how many days we are going for, I usually use my redcard for discounts on much of my shopping, so might be going that route, whichever way works out cheapest. :thumbsup2

When I bought tickets for our trip earlier this month, I used undercover tourist. we always use them unless we're buying annual passes for the trip. Between Undercover Tourist, Tickets at Work, the government tickets (I think it's called id me), and getaway today, undercover tourist was the cheapest. I also played around with the start date of the ticket. By starting it a few days earlier (but our trip still fell within the valid days for the ticket), we saved about $10 more per ticket.

I was surprised that Sams Club was actually the cheapest. But I went with UC because there is a possibility my son won't go, and wanted the refund option.
