What’s for Dinner Tonight?

Was requested that I make a “real American meal” tonight so it’s fried chicken, quick pickles, French fries and coleslaw. Markus is back from visiting his mom and happy to know the house is still standing and there’s a meal he wants to eat, .

Decided that I’m going back home on Thursday. The Swiss have a full agenda and scolded me for not giving them more notice initially and my German friend’s son will be home soon for the asparagus festival and I’d like them to spend the time exclusively with him. It’s all cool; finally made it here and my fears and concerns haven’t been realized : I can return whenever it’s good for all.
Tomorrow, we’re going flea marketing in Brussels so I may need another suitcase, lol.

Fried chicken will be so nice for them! The perfect “real American meal.”

Dh is making Buffalo chicken sandwiches and tater tots tonight.

Going to make Lidia Bastinach's light chicken parm. Uses sliced tomatoes instead of sauce. Going to use our left over spaghetti in sauce from DH's dinner last night as a side.

Last night, DH & I both had a cup of French onion soup & shared a Porterhouse steak w/salad & baked potato.

Tonight, we shared mussels & Shepherd's Pie. We ordered a cheesecake to go, which is probably going to be my breakfast. Neither of us have room for it tonight.

DD made tomato soup (from scratch- it's soooo good) with grilled cheese sandwiches. We should have had salad, but nobody was interested.

Found a batch of turkey meatballs in the freezer that I had forgotten about so tonight will be turkey meatball soup. Between the meatballs, the veg and the egg noodles it's hearty enough all on its own.
