Was just about to watch this film and wondered if anyone had seen it and what you thought of it?
I thought it was basically unwatchable.
The period covered in the film was a rough and tumble time for Walt Disney and his colleagues, but it was pretty much all pixie dust as depicted in the film.
I tried to be somewhat forgiving and open-minded as it was an independently produced and low budget film, but looking back I am unable to find much in terms of redeeming qualities.
Sorry to put a damper on things!
I wasn't a fan - though not as down on it at Spencer
It's not super accurate, the acting (for the most part) isn't great ... it's not the worst thing ever, but not great
I didn't love it either. For me, the acting felt really forced and I had a hard time believing Jon Heder as Roy.
I enjoyed it
Read the book the film is allegedly based on, Walt Before Mickey by Timothy S. Susanin.
Pretty poor movie. But watched it anyway.
Mark me down as "unable to finish".
I found it interesting but a little depressing. Certainly not a favorite to rewatch.
I enjoyed it. I like that the actors were also in a few movies from my youth.
But I’m no film critic.
