Voting Process & Stickers NOT Political

Voted by mail and they include the sticker in the envelope. Also at the drop boxes there are stacks of stickers sitting on top.

I think the design of ours is super lame and wish they would change them to something with more pizazz. That being said, I actually prefer the more standard traditional little oval sticker with the American flag and 'I voted' written in blue.

Thats county specific. I think thats pretty good.
Just think NJ overall graphics could be better. Been the same for multiple election cycles. I do like the mail in ballot being easy in NJ . We have local elections that happen at other times of the year so we don't miss them anymore.

Just curious-what state is that? When we lived in Massachusetts, DH travelled internationally and was often gone for weeks. One year he was going to miss voting day and there was no option, as I remember. Early voting? NO! Absentee ballot took so much-his boss had to write a letter! Then we moved to Texas, where we were grocery shopping one day, a couple weeks before an election, and there was a sign up for early voting there. Everyone was so surprised when we called back to our family in Massachusetts to tell them that we'd voted, in HEB!
New Hampshire.

Voted this morning. Took me 30 minutes, my sister did early voting last week, she waited for 2 hours in line. Haven't seen an Ohio sticker so here's mine.

mmouse37 - I like your state's sticker the best so far. :thumbsup2

It wasn't touch screen, it was just electronic. There were buttons next to the names that you pressed and then when you finished you pushed the big "Vote" button at the bottom.

Not quite sure what that would be. I've never seen anything like that. I'm somehow thinking a video display, but with buttons to the side like older style ATMs or public transit fare card machines?

There are "marking machines" that are mostly intended for disabled voters. Maybe those with vision issues or who can't reliably mark a ballot due to shaky hands. They have something like a remote control. They'll be programmed to be abled to place ovals for the ballot type.

Northeast Connecticut, arrived around 745am, no line, checked in, showed ID, cast my selections, inserted ballot into tabulation machine, got my sticker and headed off to work

I remember those machines. There was a large printed balot with blinking red lights that went solid next to your choice. Then you pushed the big button and that was it. I miss thouse - there was something very satisfying about pushing that big "ka-chunk" button!

No, they had no video - it was a large printed ballot aligned with various buttons.

I posted this on Slo's poll, but we voted in person in PA about 10 am. Took about 10 mins. 3 people ahead of us to get ballots, filled them out, waited 2 mins to put ballots in machines. And done.

Got a sticker that was designed by students. I don't have a photo.

Forgot, we also got candy. Had a bowl of little candies. mini hershey, tiny 3 musketeers, etc. Guess we needed food to fill out all those circles.

In 2020 we got I voted pens in FL since they didn't want to use shared ones because of Covid. I got a generic I voted early sticker when we voted on Saturday, it had a small flag on it. I love all the I voted stickers that are drawn by the kids that other states use.

Went at lunchtime in my rural area on the Eastern Shore of MD. No wait. In & out in the time it took to check in, fill out the ballot, collect my sticker and walk out.

I tried to find a picture online, but must have not been Googling the right keywords.

If it was like ours, it was this:

The Shouptronic 1242. We started using them in the mid 80's. I was a kid of course, but I went with my mom and grandparents to vote. They were still in use when I started voting.

Yes!!! That's it. I Googled all different kinds of things and could not find it!! I was beginning to think it was a figment of my imagination.
