VIP, Villains and Vino With Jen and Joe on the Go New TR Link and this TR is COMPLETE!

The Star Wars Dessert Party at Hollywood Studios...

I surprised Joe with this event about a week or so before our trip and he was soooo excited. He's a HUGE Star Wars fan and watches anything Star Wars related. Like many of you, his new fav is The Mandalorian. He's obsessed with The Child and even purchased a baby Yoda stuffed animal. Really?!?! LOL! Me, not so much. I've never been a huge Star Wars fan however, I was looking forward to the food and drink...

We checked in at the Launch Bay and were given lanyards. We were then told we just had to show our lanyard at the Darth Vader Meet and Greet area and we wouldn't have to wait in line. We were also given our table number (this is an assigned seating event). Before Joe and I helped ourselves to all the wonderful food and drink options, we chose to visit Chewbacca and Darth Vader. Both of these character meets blew me away. They were so much fun. I tried to talk Vader into letting me join the Dark Side, but he dismissed me. WHAT!?!? I would have been a great asset...

The food and drink options here are the best out of all the dessert parties we have attended. There were 3 different alcohol based drinks, beer, wine, soft drinks, tea, coffee, and water. There were desserts galore and savory options like meats and marinated cheeses, pita bread, bean dip, hummus, and fresh fruit. Everything was delicious and Joe and I made our way to the buffet several times.

While we were eating, the Stormtroopers walked around and interacted with guests. This was also a lot of fun. Then, they escorted everyone to the fireworks viewing area, which is right in front of the Chinese Theater. We were also given a very cool Darth Vader stein as a parting gift.

This was honestly my favorite dessert party. Joe was like a 9-year-old kid. He was so excited that he got to meet the characters, interact with the Stormtroopers, and watch the amazing fireworks. We felt we got so much more for the money we spent than at the other dessert parties.

Next up, lunch at Beaches and Cream...

That is so amazing that you got to experience ANOTHER VIP tour!! AND ROTR AND MMRR!! So much fun packed in to a short time!! And so many fun DIS events and meets! I was so sad that MMRR had just opened when we were there in March but since we were staying offsite there was no way we would get to ride...without waiting 3 hours for SB...not going to happen!! The only good news to this is that now...by the time I go back...perhaps it will be more accessible to get on...with so many new things etc....
We were so extremely grateful for this opportunity to spend more time with some of our DIS friends and to do the incredible tour!
MMRR is the cutest ride ever and I hope you get to ride it when everything reopens!!!

You're so lucky to have gone on two VIP Tours! How fun that Joe was able to ride RnRC with Jon!

That Star Wars Dessert Party has to be the best one on property. And who doesn't love a photo op with Chewy?!

I thought of you guys when I read the news yesterday. I don't understand the part where you could have a resort reservation and not be guaranteed admission to a park. I really hope it works out for your trip. I've been looking at Fall Break or Christmas for rebooking our cancelled trip and just decided to scrap it all and wait until 2021.

I think I would react much like Joe if I ever get to the Star Wars dessert party. Nice to hear you liked it. Of all the dessert parties it’s the one I would most like to do. The ladies in my life have no interest in Star Wars but maybe I could bribe them with the treats!

Jenny I wanted to mention I was in the supermarket the other day and wanted to pick up some iced tea. I thought of your Epcot vlog from the tea tasting so I got Twinings Lady Grey tea bags and brewed iced tea. It was really good!

Lesley, Ariana, Caroline and I did this dessert party on our EPIC trip. I ate SO much of that cheese, LOL!! It was so damn delicious! And I had several of whatever the pink cocktail was, too. I'm not a Star Wars fan much either, but I really enjoyed this party, and I'd agree, it does feel like you get more "experience" than the other dessert parties.

You have to have tickets linked to your resort reservations to qualify to make park reservations. Just having a resort reservation will not get you access to the parks. So, we should be ok. We have our AP AND 2 days of park tix linked in July. :P

It was so well done. Joe and I really, really liked it.

OMG!!!! I am actually going to make some tomorrow. LOL! It's very light and refreshing.

That's right!!!! I remember this now. Honestly, you get the most bang for your buck.

All this new info came out last night and to me, it's just more bad news...For instance, you can't go to another resort just to visit or check it out. You will only be allowed in if you are staying there or have a dining reservation. No Minnie vans. No Electrical Water Pagent. It's just a big list of no's. So, this trip should be very interesting...
Jenny, I was just thinking the same thing today, it doesn’t sound good. I will have to keep gathering info before I decide the fate of our August trip. I’m not sure I want to pay Disney prices for such a limited experience. Time will tell.

Hi Caroline! It's just really frustrating me because it's just a big list of no's and can't do's. The list is getting bigger every day. Even with the lower crowds it seems like it's going to be a pain to navigate...

I loved this dessert party, it was my favorite! We did it on the Epic trip and I would definitely do it again. I would love to meet Darth Vader! Tell Joe I love the Mandalorian and can’t wait until the second season drops!
We did too. It's our new fav and really puts HEA to shame. You just get so much more with this one and the food was sooooo good.
Keep me updated on your August plans...

The Star Wars dessert party looks really good because of all the savory items. I can't eat a lot of sweet things so this one would be perfect. The viewing location for party guests is a lot better than it used to be, too.

I love the look of this party! The combination of more savoury food items and yummy cocktails make much better to me than the parties that mostly have desserts. Joe's face is absolutely beaming with delight-great surprise Jenny :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

Loved this update! I went to this dessert party a couple years ago and loved the inside part of it but it was POURING during the entire fireworks so I was pretty bummed about that part. Gotta go again I guess! :thumbsup2

I loved the part where you're describing your interactions with Darth Vader as you were heading to the fireworks viewing area. The part where you said Darth Vader basically told you no when you wanted to join the Dark Side. I confess I rewatched that part a couple times because it was so cute and funny  I think you're better off sticking with Chewie anyway ;)

I prefer savory too, so this was right up my alley.

This was our fav dessert party, just so much going on and so much fun!

Hi Tracy! Darth Vader was NOT having me join the Dark Side. I was trying to be his ally and he wasn't having it. LOL!

The VIP tour sounded like a blast! So awesome getting to ride MMRR!! Love all the pics, you can tell how happy everyone was!

And the fun continued with the dessert party! I'm glad you both enjoyed it!

I was just reading about the no park hopping and no electrical water parade...THAT one really floors me honestly. I didn't read about no resort hopping...but wow more and more this just seems like a no go for me. We would have stayed at SOG and did meals at Poly maybe...I guess we could make dining reservations. I don't know but can't wait to read the reports in another month. I expect much like Universal there will be some very empty parks so that might be pretty nice.

I have to say of the dessert parties we have done the best food I think was at HS for the JBJB Chritmas dessert party so it isn't surprising that your Star Wars dessert party was so excellent.

It was such an awesome day!!!! We were so fortunate.

Best dessert party EVER!

It's just a HUGE last of no's and can't do's. Every new report gets a little more depressing AND a lot of it makes no sense...We are seriously only going at this point for our YouTube vlog. I'm praying we are surprised and it turns out to be the best Disney trip. That being said, we are going with very low expectations...:confused3

JBJB is THE one I want to go to ever since it first started. It looks so fun!!!!

I saw all of that.:( It really limits options. I'm hoping things get better over time.
