Vero Beach 2 bedroom Differences

I am just curious as to why Vero Beach 2 bedroom villas have more availability than 2 bedroom lockoffs. I understand there's probably a lot of studios and one bedrooms available and that's why, but are there any other differences that would make a dedicated 2 bedroom here more appealing to people at this resort than a lockoff? It's the first time I see the 2 bedroom villa booked up more than the lockoff option so I was just wondering

I just watched YouTube videos of the rooms. The dedicated 2 bedroom has a vanity sink instead of the little wet bar/micro kitchenette and it's next to the bathroom where the bathroom vanity sink is. It looks like it's easier for multiple people to get ready at the same time.

The dedicated has a ridiculously small, bizarre shaped closet where the entry door would have been if it was a studio.

Maybe people prefer having the extra closet and extra vanity sink and that's why they choose a dedicated 2 bedroom.

I'm going to check out the videos too since I actually have a choice with this one 😅

If you decide to watch videos of all room types, you might end up planning lots of stays there. 🤣 I'm not sure what it is about Vero, but everything looks good. I'll be shooting for a one bedroom next spring, but I will be very happy with any room type there.

I feel like my wife is going to love it and want to buy there. I'm preparing to tell her that it doesn't make financial sense and it's pretty open for booking.

Her idea of a vacation is laying on the beach and doing nothing for a week. I love that for a couple of days but I'm the type that wants to always be moving and see everything!

We're starting at WDW and ending at Vero. I have a feeling this is a combination we will both be wanting to do often. I hope that after this resort expires they renew it. I like having options to book other than theme parks. I can't wait!

We are VB owners and have stayed there for a week every year since 1997 except for 2020. A couple of years ago we booked a two bedroom lockoff thinking it would be nice to have a separate entrance to the studio portion. As it turns out I don't think we used the studio entrance one time.

Would you recommend the two bedroom villa over the lockoff?

We love Vero. Haven’t stayed in a 2 bedroom but have stayed in a 1 bedroom several times and the 3 bedroom cottage once. We’ve been DVC members since 2016 and it is the resort we have visited the most! The beach is so convenient. If it wasn’t for those dang noseeums, it would be perfect. Going again in July!

What is nosseums?

Like mosquitos but smaller. I’ve been eaten up by them a couple of times and have learned to use lather up with repellant. They have it at several spots around the resort but it’s really greasy. But it’s worth it. I’m the only that has gotten them bad out of the 4 of us and it is no fun.

Omg good to know, thank you, I will definitely try to prepare for that, I'm the one that always gets bit up by mosquitos lol

We’ve never stayed in a dedicated two bedroom and only once in the two bedroom lock off. The lock off has a kitchenette in the studio portion and the separate entrance. We picked the lock off because we had our 10 month old grandson with us and we put the crib in the studio portion and we were able to close the door to the studio when he napped. Honestly, I don’t think you could go wrong with either one.

I think we're going to do the lockoff too because we're going with extended family and the kids stay up late and can get loud

From what I can tell, they are seasonal. There are quite a few YouTube videos of stays there and some people report that there are signs everywhere reminding you to use bug repellent and other times, people report that there weren't any bugs. The main problem with noseeums is that they are tiny and you won't see them (thus, their name).
