Vaping in WDW parks

Just post big signs by the entrance that vaping (and smoking) are not allowed and you face expulsion from the park if found doing so. WDW always has some Sheriff's office personnel around here and there to eject the perps from the parks. After it happens a few times, people will stop doing it.

I think the reason Disney doesn't do this isn't because they don't want to, it's because they'd consider this a non-magical element, detracting from the total experience. Of course, you could hardly call the front-gate security measures magical, but they're necessary. The signage, probably in their opinion, isn't.

But I'm all for it.

Telling people who vape that they are not allowed to causes a good portion of those people to get angry and abusive. I used to have to do it at a museum I worked at. No smoking, no vaping. Smokers would usually apologize and ask where they could smoke. Vapers on the other hand would have a hissy fit about how it is "not smoking" and act like they are special. It was like a dang tempter tantrum.

Yeah this definitely tracks, there is a special kind of entitlement with vapers that you don’t typically see in smokers.

Even if they had more designated smoking areas in the parks we would still have these jerks vaping everywhere bc they feel like since it’s not cigarettes, rules about smokers don’t apply to them. I’ve even seen them doing it on the subways at home.

I had one vaper who, when I told him there was no smoking or vaping on museum property, first get in my face about it and then after I called security, decided to stand in the middle of the street and yell about how he was no longer on museum property. He almost got hit by so many cars. It was a busy street through the city. Police often set up there for speed traps (we also had a preschool so were considered a school zone). It was so dumb.

On a recent trip there was a vaper using just in front of Thunder Mountain Railroad. Two male CMs approached him and told him that it was not permitted and he complied and put it away.

Vaping in Disney parks can be a bit tricky. They don’t exactly encourage it everywhere. From what I’ve seen, you’re only allowed to vape in designated smoking areas.It’s always better to just find one of those smoking zones if you need a break.

There are no designated smoking / vaping areas inside WDW parks. They are all outside of the entrances of the parks.
