So this is curious: USJ just announced a delay for the Donkey Kong area over there, was originally scheduled to open Spring 2024 and now given a timeframe of "Late 2024". Had been wondering why there hadn't been an update with the original timeframe coming up quickly, curious as to what is causing issues.

Apparently Late 2024 was a mistranslation. The corrected translation says second half of 2024, so July onwards.

Also not necessarily Epic related but Alicia is saying on Twitter than you may want to get your last rides in for Rip Ride Rockit. It'll be closing permanently in 2025.

This has been long rumored - hopefully this will be it.

Its not a bad ride IMO, but I hate the restraint system as its not very forgiving.
For me the worst part if the initial lift which has failed too many times - I am always worried about being stuck there for hours.
Question is what will they do with the space.

Would be nice - of course they already have New York area they could retheme down the area.

Paris makes a lot of sense to me - although not Epcot it does create something Epcot lite.

Confirmed that it’ll be Super Nintendo World, some social media accounts have gotten the latest token early. So… shouldn’t have many surprises for one side but this should be a good look at what to expect with Donkey Kong.

Yea not expecting a lot of huge announcements with it being mostly the same as Japan but maybe we will get a few new details and hopefully some more info on Donkey Kong. Not surprised they went with this as paired with the announcement for the new stuff this summer on Monday this gives them the chance to announce the land we already mostly know about along with other new stuff so they pair well together.

It's not really a spoiler if Universal is sending this to those accounts specifically for them to post about it. They're doing PR, just like the land reveal tomorrow (which is also technically a spoiler) is PR.

Interesting point brought up by Alicia Stella’s latest post about today’s vids and other construction developments: DK coaster (36”) has a lower height requirement than Mario Kart (42”). Wasn’t expecting that!
