Uhm....Bahamas is now requiring vaccinations for all passengers over 12..

I feel like DCL has no choice, but to require the vaccines.
I mean why should they have to shut down everything and send CM back home when they are given the option to keep sailing with a vaccine requirement.

Looking back at old "Important Info about your cruise" emails, Disney seems to send these out around 10am EST. Fingers crossed!

If I were an unvaccinated adult with a cruise this year I'd try to call this morning and reschedule before all hell breaks loose. Those poor call center reps are about to go through a lot.

I think all the cast at DCL need a huge hug. They’ve had a heck of a few weeks.

I think DCL took their non vax status to be more inclusive but it’s now backfired.

I think if they choose anything but following the others lead on the vax for 12+ kids tested that EVERYONE else is doing they are setting themselves up for failure.

Just read that. I’m on the 8/30-9/3 sailing. We might have dodged the bullet, but not sure what they’ll do otherwise. Have to wait for another email from DCL that makes me cringe when I open it…

Yay! I am on that sailing too and have completed the Safe Passage process!

Same. It'll be the first time since 2012 all four of our kids will be together with us for a vacation. Probably the last time it'll just be us too, since one is probably getting married in the next eighteen months.

Honestly, I knew that this day was coming! DCL is registered in the Bahamas, is a Bahamian flagged ship, and is ultimately doing business with sailings to Castaway Cay! I never thought that the Florida Governor would have jurisdiction over the Bahamas and the Bahamian Prime Minister! Once the Norwegian Cruise Line (NCLH) litigation was successful (in favor of NCLH), I figured that this was the next shoe to drop!

You would think after the disaster they had for the first sailing, they would have learned their lesson and moved to a model of over communicating early and often.

I hope we hear something today, but Disney doesn't seem especially nimble at making these kinds of decisions. Monday is more realistic but I hope they prove me wrong.
