Years ago (probably 1999) I went with a friend to the Dolphin Experience at Epcot. We had an amazing time. Came home with a vhs video and a tshirt. A number of years later, (probably 2010) my DH and daughter also went. They enjoyed it but the dolphins were not in a fun mood. When they don't want to play, they switch them out for other dolphins. Due to that, their actual interaction time was limited. They came home with a picture of both of them with a dolphin. It was an amazing experience for all of us.

Not sure but I think that they no longer have the dolphins at the Living Seas. I hope I am wrong.

What are your favorite tours/experiences at the parks?

Thanks!

Oh my, we’ve done several and loved them all!

Backstage Magic many, many years ago was fantastic. It was an all day tour, and I especially remember backstage at Body Wars (yes, it was that long ago), American Adventure, and the computer room that controlled everything including parade music at MK. We’ve also done the MK WDW Railroad, Keys to the Kingdom, and Caring for Giants. Another favorite was one at AK during which we watched the vets amputate a crocodile’s leg. We’ve enjoyed the tour of the Land Pavilion more than once, too.

Anyone remember Lunch with an Imagineer? We met Theron Skees, who had just returned from overseeing a major attraction in Paris and was on his way to Hong Kong. Later I saw him on a video showing how they created the spring at Disney Springs.

We've taken Wild Africa Trek, Up Close with Rhinos, Keys to the Kingdom. I've done Caring for Giants and Behind the Seeds. Really loved all of them. I am trying to get my husband to take Behind the Seeds because it's so easy.

Over the years I had taken maybe 10 or so tours. As said earlier, most are gone. But I must say I NEVER had a bad tour. They were LL very much fun and informative.

In 2016 I took a tour at the Grand Floridian which was very interesting. It was free, not sure if it’s still offered.

When my oldest son was little, we did the Family Magic Tour where we were helping Peter Pan save the world. My son was young enough where it was all real for him. And the best part was it was free through the old Disney Club.

We’ve done Behind the Seeds tour. My husband loved it. I learned a lot.

We did the Family Magic Tour in 2005! That was back when they had all inclusive plans Platinum, Gold & Silver. It was the first year of the dining plan so we had this combined plan and all the tours were included in the plan.

It seems so many of the tours they have discontinued and haven't brought much back. I would have loved to do the train tour with my son now that he is older but alas that is not to be.

My wife and I have done Keys to the Kingdom, Caring for Giants, Up Close with Rhinos, Segway tour in EPCOT (no longer offered) and Segway Tour at Fort Wilderness. All were excellent but the Segway in EPCOT was our favorite.

We have 10 signed plates from Lunch with an Imagineer :)

We've taken many tours over the years. Enjoyed them all in different ways.

I enjoyed the Behind the Seeds tour (Living with the Land is a favorite). It isn't long so it doesn't take up a lot of your day, not a lot of walking if that is an issue, and it's not expensive. And it was very interesting! Highly recommend.

My favorite experience left with Covid, and hasn't returned-Lunch With An Animal Keeper. It was held at Sanaa, and you dined with one of the animal care team at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. One time we actually dined with 2 animal keepers-one was being trained to give the luncheon. And the experience was in the very early stages-they weren't making you pay in advance. So sadly, of the 14 sign-ups, only 4 of us showed up. But it meant we had 2 animal keepers and 4 participants. I loved it so much, I did it 2 other times-besides, for $49, it was almost worth it for the cost of lunch alone. You got to sample some of everything on Sanaa's menu, starting with the bread service and all the accompaniments. And talking with the animal keepers was fascinating. They had some very interesting stories as many animals had gone between the lodge and Animal Kingdom park. One giraffe had recently joined the Lodge because he just loved the taste of windshield wipers-kept approaching trucks on Kilimanjaro Safari to get a nibble!

So far, the only one I have done is Keys to the Kingdom, but reading these posts, it seems like there were a lot more in the past then there currently are.

They recently announced that they will be moving the dolphins to Gulfarium and I believe they also moved their manatee or announced it recently as well.

Have done lots of these and enjoyed all. Another fun one is the tour of the Wilderness Lodge with one of the CMs. It’s a mid-morning tour, and not really advertised, but ask about it if you’re staying there.

We have done a few tours, two are no longer offered: The Segway tour of the World Showcase and the Behind the Scenes tour at the Animal Kingdom. We really enjoyed both of them. We got to pet a rhinoceros and had fun riding the Segways.

We have also done Caring for Giants at AK and Behind the Seeds at Epcot. We liked both.

Behind the seeds got us into hydroponics. It was amazing to see all the veggies Disney grows that way. ... We have done the Magic behind the train tour twice, both were excellent. Hope it comes back so we can take our teenage grandsons. This year we did up close with rhinos and got to pet Mylo. Disney does and excellent job with tours, highly recommended.
