Toughest park in which to get a decent meal is...

I'm on board with a vote for MK. IMO this typifies the image of the horrific American cuisine.....Fast Food.

I'm a table service fan, so AK is the hardest. The counter service places in the MK don't really bother me though. It's hard to choose where to eat in Epcot since there are so many good choices!

I would have to say MGM. We always have trouble finding good counter service. We haven't had good luck with the sit down restaurants there either. Epcot has some great sit down places but again, good counter service is hard to find.

Typhoon Lagoon! All the food there is pretty bad. I'm going to have to include Blizzard Beach in that, now that they don't have chicken quesadillas anymore.

AK will never have a full service restaurant if it isn't open at night.

Not in the MK.

I'd say MGM in the past was the hardest. Actually, we do very
little food that is not meant to be simply fuel and move on to the
next activity. When we want good food-we eat somewhere
other than the theme parks. BOMA was a big hit with our group
the last time we were there, we'll go back this year and hope
it measures up. LOL-last trip we were on a mission for
Turkey legs that we could eat as we walked-commando style.
My favorite fuel-Mickey Ice Cream bars!!! We also loved the
fish and chips counter service at EPCOT; again short sit down
on the curb or a table if we found one and on to the next show/ride/shop/parade.

We think that the MK is the hardest park to find good food in. Epcot has too many great restaurants to even start naming them; MGM has Sci Fi and the Brown Derby, and AK, which is slim pickin's, has the Tusker House. But we have never eaten a meal at the MK that we actually enjoyed, and we've tried CRT, Liberty Tree Tavern, etc.
Cheers!

MGM counter service is lacking....I did like 50's PTC tho...

I would say MK lacks decent counter service, every other place is a burger joint! As for table service, altho' AK limits your choices to one, I love RFC! However, I definitely think AK could use another sit down restaurant, perhaps some Chinese in Asia?

I'd have to say AK, not because the food available is bad, but because you've only got the two counter service choices (Don't talk to me about Rainforest Cafe- it's not even a Disney restaurant!)

I don't know why people say MK is nothing but fast food- both Cindy's and Tony's have pretty interesting menus, at least much more so than I would expect at this type of park. Haven't had dinner or Lunch at Crystal Palace, but the breakfast was good for a buffet.

This has got to be a toss up between Animal Kingdom and MK. Epcot is the best for restaurants, obviously, and MGM is still ok, although the loss of Hollywood & Vine as a lunch option is making the park suffer, especially when it comes to capacity at other table service restaurants.

Epcot - tried garden grill, very stodgy, and all the rest seem a big outlay for a family of 5 when you want to be 'out there' also, I like a bit of daylight with my meals - is it me or are all the retaurants in Epcot cavern-like?
I like pizzafari in AK for fast food - its not open long enough to sit down for any lenght of time.
Love H&V at MGM
Ditto CP at MK
As forthe waterparks, I spose it just has to be a picnic!

Wow, I am so surprised bythe people who are answering Epcot!

I could understand if someone said they didn't really like WDW food (although we've always been able to find something at least decent). But to say that you like the food at MK, AK and MGM better than Epcot...that just really surprises me.

At Magic Kingdom there are so many good places for burgers, sandwiches, salads and soups. Animal Kingdom also has Flametree BBQ and Tusker house. EPCOT has lots of places and until our last trip I would say that MGM was the worst place but thanks to someone here who told me about Rolling Stars Bakery and their lunch special. It is WoNDERFUL they have a great sandwich. I can't say enough good things about it. Good Luck.

I loved MGM in temrs of food along with Epcot.Toy Story Pizza Planet has decent pizzas too

For sit down meals, we find that AK has the least to offer, unless you count the resorts, and then BOMA at the AKL really is one of our favorites.

MK is a close second, there aren't a lot of restaurants that I want to spend my money at.

Dining at Epcot and MGM is one of the highlights of a WDW trip for us. We've had very nice dining experiences every time, and the CMs are always memorable. We struggle to try new things because we always have restaurants that we want to revisit, and it's tough to split our time between old favorites and new restaurants!

I also find it interesting that people find EPCOT to have the worst dining offerings, but to each their own.

MK for me. It's gotten so that I just never eat there anymore- always park hop or go to a Resort for meals. The only restaurants that Ive tried there that I would consider going back to at MK would be CRT (for the atmosphere more than the food) and Liberty Tree. The rest were terrible. Just about the only ones I haven't tried there are Crystal Palace and Cosmic Rays, which I hear aren't too bad, so maybe I'll give them a shot someday.

MGM is next. While I really like all of the park's full service restaurants (except for Prime Time, which I could take or leave), the counter service offerings arn't that good. ABC Commisary was good, but they changed the menu and it hasn't been very good at all lately. Pizza Planet, Backlot Express, and Rosie's are OK, but not as good as anything I've had at AK or EPCOT.
