Tiana's Bayou Adventure (Magic Key Previews Start Oct 21st)

I'm lucky and have two days reserved...but most weekends are blocked out

Kinda sucks for those who didn't get lucky like me, should have announced this a while back

I usually keep a standing reservation for all Saturdays (unless I know I'll be out of town) and then just cancel/reschedule as the weeks come up. This is a good example as to why it's best to just have as many possible reservations made ahead of time.

I mean thats nice but if you have a lower tier pass its much harder

I have the highest one and even I run into dates I can't go....with 6 spots

They just need to update the system

I do the same, so I have reservations for both of those Saturdays. I rode it in WDW last month so I do not feel like I have to ride it during the previews (or even the winter months at DL). I do like the idea of a virtual queue on the day of the preview instead of being locked in to booking a specific day up front.

I mean... they announced the opening date in August. It would seem reasonable to expect that previews would take place in the immediate weeks before it opened, if someone were that eager to ride it right away.

The ability to announce this specific a schedule a month or two ago would take a degree of operational clairvoyance that doesn't exist. It's way better to wait until they have some certainty before announcing anything, so as to avoid ruining people's schedule if they have to change something (if they end up being wrong).

It's not like the people who already have reservations for those sold-out days aren't going to want to ride it. And, honestly, Disney and I would both prefer to have those spots be taken by people who want to enjoy a day at the parks rather than by anyone who just wants to ride Tiana's once and leave.

Also: the lion's share of those days are still available to the lower passes. I like that Disney's including a bunch of weekday late-afternoon/evening opportunities for those who might be able to make it after work, too.

Otherwise, it just sounds like you're taking the chance to say, "I hate the reservation system."

I just made park reservations for 2 out of those 14 scheduled days. Does the virtual Q start anytime I arrive (schedule listed times for 9am to 5pm) OR is it the usual 7am OR 11am sign up for the Q?

Please report back to all of us who can't go during previews! I'm curious what, if any, differences there will be from the Orlando version.

Ironically, even though I go to DL most often, my first time on Tiana's will be at WDW next spring!

I'm sure within a week we will have video's comparing the two

I'm hoping soooooo much that the tech is working here and the ride here feels more full because WDW just feels like not enough critters for how long the ride is

I hope so. I imagine some of the "filling in" will be longer term though. There was a rumor some of the tech issues were related to warmer temperatures and sun angle. It might be better at DL initially with the late-fall/winter opening.

I was always partial to the DL Splash with the different musical instrumentation to fit Critter Country as opposed to Frontierland at MK. In reality, both were very good. I'm sure both Tiana's will also be great.

I do like the side by side seating at MK Tiana's, but I guess we get it at Space Mountain at DL! :)

I really hope the ride feels more full and if it takes time.....cool I guess but then just makes me question why they even did this if the ride was clearly not designed to fully take the attraction to the next level.

I'm sure some miss OG Star Tours but most I think like the new version better because they took what worked from the OG and improved on the things that didn't

Splash was my favorite ride, so really hoping this ride can deliver here

Splash was my second favorite ride only after Pirates. I was devastated for it to close. The music to me equaled Disneyland.

I really wish they allowed the songs to stay in the land

It really feels to me so petty how they treat the parks of the movies that offend no one

Like I get why the film is not something you can release but the music and characters? They are completely fine

Really wish Disney just let them live in the parks still

The rules above are what's posted in the app - appears to be like normal.

I'm curious if the 3pm starts will have 7am queue opportunities, or if they'll wait and do them at noon and make people enter the park first. (I'm assuming the former, but we'll see.)

THANK YOU !!!

Have been bit jealous of all the WDW annual passholder preview opportunities. We weren’t given those out west. Feels special to get this added perk. Booked Disneyland reservation Oct 26 and Nov 10. Will give it a shot if nothing else comes up to prevent going.

I luckily had a couple of those days booked for a little mid-week getaway, so hearing about the Tiana previews was an unexpected bonus. It's my first (and likely only) year with a Magic Key, so I'm trying to get full use of it!

How difficult has it been for people to get in the queue? Thinking of making a trip to use the magic key preview, but don't want to spend the money or time if there is a big chance of not being able to get into the queue....
