Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Good Sunday Morning!

#1 - 4 Color Ink Pen - I love love love these! I use on at work, it was my #1 pen for keeping the softball score book and I used it as a kid.

#2 - Automatic Pencils - I don’t have a pencil sharpener at home, so these are all I use when I need a pencil.

#3 - Paperclips - sometimes you just don’t want to staple something to keep them together. I use a lot of paperclips at home & work.

GLUE - y’all knew I would say glue 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nice ink pens my parents bought the cheapest ink pens on the planet so it was nice when I got older I could buy nice ink pens once it actually worked well🤣🤣🤣

Post notes - love these things you can get posted to notes in any size and I do I absolutely am obsessed with post and notes I use them constantly for all sorts of things at times my desk looks like a field of post to notes 🤣🤣🤣 I work from home it’s so funny because I’ll have them all over the wall and all different colors reminding me what I need to do!!!

Stapler- I have a stapler that is ergonomically designed so it doesn't hurt my hands to staple multiple pages.

Fine-tip dry erase markers. I have sooooo many colors!

White out. I am old enough to remember how making a mistake meant having to retype the entire page. We thought that the liquid eraser was pretty amazing, but I just love White-out tape!

Bulletin board to post far side cartoons about school and teachers in our team office

Dry erase board to list every day needs of our teaching team in the medical complex

Pee Chee folders... every student had one for each subject... the number one trivia question of all time...who was the artist of those golden colored folders that we scribbled on every day in school... for decades

I love office supplies!

Plastic pocket folders, especially when I am planning a WDW trip. I punch out 3 holes and put them in my planning binder.

Another fan of Flair felt tip pens. I color code everything. I also love my Pilot precise pens, which I buy in colors that correspond to all of my categories. :)

I love my ergonomic hand held stapler. The office supplies closet at school had those old-fashioned heavy staplers and I didn’t think twice about spending my own money once I found the hand held types.

Honorable mentions: colorful paper clips, clickable permanent markers, post it notes, monthly desk calendar, magnifier with an LED light….I better stop! For an ADHDer, I have a strong organized streak. (It’s the follow-through I have trouble with)

Happy Monday Everyone

I love potatoes ❤️

#1 - Baked Potato - A regular baked potato is always a treat, especially with sour cream and shredded cheddar cheese on top. I know this isn’t a dish, but since it’s a favorite of mine, I had to mention it.
.
#2 - Hashbrown Casserole - This is a favorite in my family, so I make it a few times a year. It’s one of my Dads favorites.

#3 - Potato Pancakes - My DH just made these on Friday and they were super delicious.

DD's homemade mashed potatoes. They have about 1000 calories a spoonful, I think, but they are delicious- and decadent, full of cream and butter and so so so good!

McDonald's deep-fried hash brown. I don't know how they make them these days, but back in the "early days" they were AWESOME. Salty, crispy, hot; what more could you ask for to start your day? I know they are probably a heart attack in the waiting, but they were so good.

Smashed potatoes. DD uses potatoes about the size of a walnut, bakes them in the oven, smashes them with a glass, brushes with garlic butter, and puts them in the oven to crisp up around the edges.

Q
Quorum - If you've ever been part of a group where one is required for voting and official business, you're probably happy when enough people show to satisfy this need.
Quarry Exhibit Hall - In 2019, we made the trek across CO into the northwestern corner and ultimately into Utah to see Dinosaur National Monument. I think every was wowed to see the Quarry Exhibit Hall in person.
Questions - Not that I want to be inundated with them or have a ton of them, but it's nice to be in an environment where they can be asked and answered.

Office Supplies
Notebooks - I have always liked a fresh new spiral notebook...especially a good one that doesn't come unraveled.
Staple Remover - Years ago, one of our admins bought me a nice one when she was helping out facilities with products for our company office supply room. That thing was magic! Sadly, someone stole it from my desk. I don't have any great need for one anymore but at the time it was so helpful.
Highlighter Assortment - I like highlighting and I enjoy having multiple colors to make different things pop.

Potatoes
Corned Beef Hash - I made my own last night. I bought a corned beef around St. Patrick's Day that I made in the Instant Pot. After cooking it, I cut it up and added in some sauteed potatoes.
Sweet Potatoes - I've been on a sweet potato kick of late.
Steak Fries - Not sure why, but I love those bagged steak fries in the grocery store.
Honorable mention to both Poutine and it's NJ cousin, Disco Fries.

Good morning friends :)

Potatoes sit heavy in my system now so I really don't eat (or honestly miss) them anymore. Pre pandemic and certainly growing up I loved plain fries. Baked and mashed potatoes were tasty too. Dad enjoy a flavored potato chip often with his lunch.

God willing when I'm back to normal and home again I will extra enjoy my favorite breakfast of three very small pancakes with syrup and, of course, hot chocolate. Dad enjoys his pancakes with fresh blueberries. A cookie cutter heart or Christmas tree prepares a third seasonally fun way of making pancakes :)

Tater tots

1953 invented out of leftovers of potato slivers. 1956 introduced commercially...so inexpensive no one was interested.... sooooo

70 million pounds produced...3,710,000,000 individual tots

A poor bachelor... didn't have my first tot until 30.. when they were the only expensive food product my first wife purchased

2004 Salem Oregon native Jon heder made tater tots famous again and mothers all over pulled their hair out 😭 😭!!!!
