Isn't that against American sea laws nowadays, to just have a "cruise to nowhere"? It's one thing if they plan to dock and can't, it's another if they say right from the start "we won't dock at any ports." Someone more knowledgeable than me can weigh in on this one, hopefully! Maybe a re-route to Key West? Or Cozumel instead?
based on that info you just referred to, the Dream wouldnt be able to return to Port on Monday until after the storm had passed which means it would be floating around at sea on Monday until it moves clear of the portLooking at the map today they've got the storm right near PC at 2AM Monday morning. I would think the Saturday Fantasy cruise will probably be okay, but the Dream that gets back Monday / departs Monday seems like there could be an issue.
We are scheduled to leave Saturday on the Fantasy. It is certainly stressful, but I went through this 2 years ago when I got canceled because of Irma. It’s deja vu for me! Ugh
We were cancelled by Irma and are headed out again next week. This will definitely be my last try for a Sept cruise! I don't do well with the stress!
Fingers crossed that the islands stay safe and everyone can enjoy their vacations.
I was thinking the might shorten because of the difficulty getting back on Monday (potentially). I feel like they would shorten it versus have us floating out there for a couple of extra days...but what do I know?
