Edit - now that I look at it. The Murphy has a bit more detail on the wood work other than just a plain flat panel and it ties into the other wood accents moderately well.

Please do this right DVC!

It's been a bit since I have been on the boards, but crawling back as our DL trip is approaching with a stay at the VGC. Looks like still now word on a refurbishment timeline? Last time I did some digging it looked like maybe accessible rooms were gone all of April so are we thinking a spring start or maybe other rooms go down before? I guess at this point its all rumor and conjecture. We are still looking forward to our stay.

There aren’t that many accessible rooms to start with and that is spring break time for some folks… so I’m not sure it gives us any insights into the refurb.

I should have prefaced what I was saying that this observation was well before 7 months in advance and the entire month was gone for all categories/sizes of accessible rooms while regular rooms were available.

Inventory is so small that I wouldn’t get my hopes up, but you can request high floor/low floor; theme park/pool/forest view.

If you are staying in an accessible room, then there is no point.

On our last trip we randomly were assigned to 5th floor DCA view. We previously have never requested specific rooms but we have requested that same view for our upcoming trip. Who knows if it will work though.

We placed room requests for our trip, but if it happens, it happens. I like to let them know what we would prefer. Worse case, you are staying at VGC anyways.

Umm, yes. All my other home resorts will be refurbed before VGC gets started! While I’m happy the others are getting refurbed, I was somewhat shocked CCV was announced! I feel like it just opened I will lose my mind if Aulani gets refurbished before VGC though…

Given that we are paying for it with our dues…. they really need to meet their obligations to the owners and be transparent about the timeline.

AND they need to get moving quickly before tariffs jack up the price of everything….

We are staying in a HCA studio in mid May. Those were taken out of inventory completely in April. So fingers crossed for a new and shiny room!

Last time stayed on a friend's points, he made the room request for us and we ended up with the top floor DCA view. This time, on our own points, so I am happy just to have gotten a room on my own points! A view would be icing on the cake.

The theme park view is our favorite, but many others prefer the pool or forest because it is quiet.

It’s all personal preference.

We always request by specific room number depending on which category we have booked. I list about four options in order of preference, and we’ve found they typically try to at least get close to what we’re wanting.

I will say I didn’t request anything our last stay to see what we’d end up with. Initially we were bummed to not have a park side room, but we were thrilled to have a surprise view of the higher DL fireworks. We were in a 1 bedroom on the 2nd floor (2507), so I was especially surprised!

You can chat to request if that’s your preference, but I actually like to use the email option under the “contact us” selection on the website if I’m not calling member services for something else. That way I have a written response to my request even if they reiterate that the request is noted but not guaranteed.

Can you see anywhere what has been requested? I'm pretty sure i gave them like 5 different room numbers, but if just saying theme park & high floor is better, id change it.
