Finally finished my Dopey skirt for the Marathon (with 40 hours to spare before takeoff! )

Plenty of time! Everything looks great! I love the stick on jewels!

I have a question about Sparkle Athletic skirts! I want to gift myself one (or two, haha) (not that I didn't buy enough at the expo, but that's irrelevant). How does the sizing work for everyone? I usually wear a medium for bottoms.

They're super stretchy, so the main thing to focus on is the length

The Dopey skirt on top is a Large, and the black skirt on the bottom is an extra large. There's not a huge difference in the waist, and both fit me the same there because of the super stretchy elastic, but the length is noticeably different.

TTS. Lots more length and coverage if you do a bigger size. I have two sizes and both work and I could go either way based on size chart.

I don't have any Sparkle Athletic skirts, but have seen enough to know that they would be really easy to take in at the waist with a few tack stitches. I'd go for length and even if they are a bit big, you could easily make that tweak.

Ooh! My 5k MW costume was going to be that skirt and a light up hat (I was going as "the entrance to Epcot").

I’m thinking the 10k will be Epcot themed and the half will be Snow White themed. Just need a gold skirt, red arm sleeves, and a red visor.

Got my Sparkle skirt and visor, so I had to try on my planned outfit. Thankfully, I like the way it all looks together! Ignore the messy hair.

Visor - Sparkle
Star Lake Queen flow top - Crowned
Purple sport bra - Crowned
Geodesic Night shorts - Crowned
Geodesic skirt - Sparkle

(I do have the Crowned skort, but the shorts underneath are too short for me while running, unfortunately.)

Okay I cannot help myself... I am already looking at costumes for next season... and nothing is feeling right till I saw this shirt... and I am like yes!!



Then my fav tutu place makes a cute rainbow one.. I wonder if I could get a custom bow with something stich or lilo on it instead of that rainbow one to tie it all together more.


And then the cute stitch visor....


I will wait to buy stuff tell I get officially into Wine and Dine challenge though and see if anything else is calling me... but the wine and dine themes are just meh to me...

Also side note... Disney should allow this right... they sell pride merch soo assuming that will be okay, since they sell things like it.

Can't imagine why Disney would have a problem with it. They let people wear openly political things into the parks, so inclusive stuff should be fine.

I literally did a double-take that you questioned whether Disney would allow your proposed costume.

Costumes fall under the first amendment freedom of speech. While Disney does leave their costume policy guidelines open to their own interpretation on what may be deemed "objectionable," I guarantee that the day they as an organization prevent a runner from participating due to wearing pride colors is the day I sell my DVC and contribute the proceeds to the Gofundme for the inevitable ACLU lawsuit. (And trust me, I highly doubt it will come to that, as Disney is very well aware of the demographics spending a ton of money in their parks. Note the Pride nights over on the West Coast.)

I am just making sure... cause of the times.... I may have been doom scrolling way to much on social media about current events.... but yeah

Man I think it would be cool if we did a whole group theme of pride... like more than just disboard people but get like a mass amount like 101 Dalmatians level at one of these runs.

I'm game for wearing a pride themed costume, unfortunately not planning to do W&D.

I was already looking up that Stitch shirt after you posted it because it's adorable. Just wish they had options made out of athletic shirt material.
