Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone out there is going to Walt Disney World in July 2014. My family and I are. We are going to stay at Port Orleans Alligator Bayou standard room from July 18th -27th. Let me know if you are going then. I know that there isn't an official July 2014 page yet. Please tell me I am not alone...

Looks like we will have overlapping stays. I was hoping someone would start an official July 2014 thread. I am seen them for just about every other month except ours.

Am I correct in having seen your name on the official 2014 thread? Maybe we can hang out together on both threads. Let's see if anyone else answers on here.

Are you doing dining plan? Do you have any ADR's in mind?

Yes, it seems like we have one, but I can assure you that I won't be able to do what the others have done and organize it and keep it up. I am way to busy. But, I would love to possibly do a dismeet when I go, if possible, or know who is going and when so I can be on the look out for them. When we went last year, there were a group of us that had tags printed out that had our disboard names on them so if you saw that you could say "Hi" to us. It was great and I actually bumped into about 3 people from that group while there. I also met another diser that I have seen on here during that trip also. It was super fun!

Yes, Dis-Meets are a lot of fun. I arranged one on Sunday July 14th a week ago and meet 3 other families. we also had the pleasure in running into other's during our stay.

One family check in the same day and same time as we did at AKL. Maybe you would have the time to read my TP and watch the BFF You Tube Video.

With R&C and CM restaurants, the kids asked for both of those. Normally, I would pick something else from Chef, but the food is okay and lots to choose from. I can eat enough to fill up, which is my main goal. Give me enough calories to sustain all the walking I will do. R&C DH and I did on our Disneymoon way back in 1994, so the kiddos have never been before. They both loved Raglan Road and when we told them it was "similar" types of food, they wanted to try it this time.

I love the fact that our kids love to help plan our trips now. They definitely tell us their likes and dislikes.

OMG - You have to try the Turkey Leg, enough for 2 people. Since it has been DD and I since she was born, DD runs our household. Yes, she is very spoiled.

We both love the Disney food. When we get back, we have a hard time finding what to eat. Everything sounds and is mundane.

We love too many TS places to do the regular dining plan. Part of our love of Disney is eating in the great restaurants (and getting to cool down in the air conditioning!)

Eventually I would like to say that I have at least tried every TS place in Disney. It will be hard because we love so many and continue to go back to them. This trip we are only trying 2 new places. At that rate, we will have to go back about 30-50 more times. What a shame, huh ?

With my DD and I , we are kinda of set on the same Rest.. year after year for right now until my DD taste buds adventure out.

Ok I'm in. We have gone the last two Julys, and we are planning on going next July as well.
We have used our timeshare to exchange into DVC the last two years and have gotten to stay at our first choice both times. We are hoping for Beach Club Villas for next year with Villas at Wilderness Lodge as second choice. We have to wait until December to see what becomes available in July, but I will join the conversation assuming everything works out.

As for ADRs, we want to do BoG for dinner. We did lunch there this year and loved it. Cape May Cafe, DS loves seafood. 1900 Park Fare for breakfast. Via Napoli, lunch or dinner. Crystal Palace for lunch. Loved Yak and Yeti for lunch thus year, so we may try it again.

Really looking forward to the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

Did you ever do 1900 park fare for dinner with Cinderella and her "family"?? The step sisters are hilarious! They love to flirt with men. We have such good pictures of one of them sidling up to my DH. Funny! Only one on your list we haven't tried is Via Napoli. How is that and what kind of food did you all have?

7/2: CP (breakfast) Floridian Cafe (late lunch) Wishes Dessert Party LOVE CP but are skipping this trip (I have a story for this one I will share later) Never done Floridian Café or Dessert party but have seen pictures and reviews for both.
7/3: Teppan Edo (dinner)One of our ABSOLUTE favorites, must do every trip!
7/4:Narcossees (dinner) We were trying to choose between this and Citricos and this one lost for this trip but still on our must try soon
7/5: Tusker House (breakfast) Rainforest Cafe or Ohanas (dinner) Done Tusker house breakfast and we like it well enough to go back, just not every time. Never been to Rainforest Café. Ohana is one of our must do. I can't get enough of their pot stickers- OMG!!!
7/6: Sci-Fi (lunch) DH likes this way more than I do. I haven't found anything on the menu that calls to me, no luck with this one. But their shakes are good.
7/7: HDDR (8:30 show) I was at this over 30 years ago ish. My brother got picked to be the cute little boy they pull out. I know it would be corny with decent food but my DH hasn't consented to go to this one yet, still working on that!
