The 2009 DCI, WGI, BOA thread

Is that why you crammed that funnel cake down your throat, threw yourself on the ground, and pretended to choke to death?

I was wondering what was up with that! :rotfl2:

Did you get the powdered sugar off of your shirt?

no. the powdered sugar mixed with the rain and made a superglue like paste.

Pity I couldn't catch that fireman with it . . . :rolleyes1

Where was that happening? At least it would have been SOMETHING to watch instead of the mind numbing "let's stand around underneath the bleachers for hours on end.

I feel horribly gyped. I was promised cute shirtless band boys and some fun marching band shows. I didn't see any marching.

. . . and only two cute shirtless guys.

Though there was this attractive fireman on duty . . . .

funny, I'm going to the atlanta show with a friend who has never seen drum corps and I've been promising the same thing! At least Atlanta is a dome so no rain there(unless it decides to leak again).

Ok. Drove to Rockford (12 hour round trip) for a standstill show. Flew to Orlando for a stand still show. If I didn't know DCI, I would think it was park and blow! I have tickets to Murfreesboro for both nights and am beginning to see the wisdom of a dome.

I was in Atlanta when the rains came and was 2 sections over from the great dome flood.

Maybe I should stay home.

Bluestars beat Phantom?

WOW! Last time that happened was 1975!

On a better note! Holy name overtook Crown! "March straight and true to victory!" :cool1:

I just looked at the scores from last night on DCP. Seeing where PR is scoring is a surprise but it sure is making this year interesting.

I will be heading to Murfreesboro on Wed and will attend both shows. I am hoping I finally get to see a "moving show" and not another stand still!

woo hoo! They did it again!

Looking at recaps, Blue Stars really need to work on GE, but I'm sure they have new changes coming. I think they have 4 rehearsal days in a row coming up. I'd love to see them right where they are at. I don't think they will break 6th, but they have a history of peaking at the right time.

And now the age old question, "Will Scouts make finals this year?"

anyone else going to the atlanta show? can't wait to see vanguard pass the cavies, hehe....*crossing fingers*.

I just flew home from the 2 day show in Murfreesboro and all I can say is SCV WOW!

I finally got to see some marching after being at stand still shows in Rockford and Orlando. I enjoyed the return to the 2 nights at Murfreesboro because it gave me a good chance to see almost everyone before finals.

Our seats were awesome, the weather was perfect. I love the stadium and the sufficiant woman's bathrooms and the fact there is plenty of room for the Marketplace.

Only fly in the ointment is that I got a call from my SIL saying mom is back in the hospital and will need heart ablasion on Monday. She better get better before I leave for Finals a week from Tuesday!

Pinnie, sorry to hear about Mom, hope all goes well! Glad you had a great time in Murfreesboro! Last time I was there we added two days at Dollywood, great trip! :thumbsup2

Actually I take that back! The absolute last time I was there I was cooking for the Scouts, and we stayed at.....are you ready for this?

"Dolly Parton High School"

I almost wet myself when we pulled into the site at 4am!
