Tell me about Pirate night!

Hi everyone. I'll probably be asking a lot of questions over the coming months as my family will be doing our first 4 night cruise on the Wish in the fall!

What is the general schedule for Pirate night? When are the character meets and deck shows? I'm trying to determine if this is a good night for my husband and I to try Palo or Enchante. The thing is we have 3 young kids who will want to participate in the pirate festivities. I'm wondering if it's even feasible to do both.

Is there special stuff going on in the Oceaneer club for pirate night?

I'd check out disneycruiselineblog for a recent navigator on a 4 night to give you an idea of timing.

That would be my pick for Palo or Enchante, but I don't like the pirate menu.

Our most recent Pirate night was on Disney Magic (6 nights) and Pirate Night dance party started at 7:30 pm with fireworks at 8:00 pm.

We had a record pace first seating dinner (great job dining staff), which started at 5:45 pm. We left to go up to the 9th / 10th decks before 7:00 pm. All spots on deck 10 looking downward at pool deck were already taken so we stayed on the railing starboard side on the 10th deck and got an awesome view of the fireworks.

Much of the dancing was partially visible to my 9 / 12 year old girls on the screen. Too heavy to lift for sustained periods these days. :O)

I will say even though we didn't have a great view of the dancing below, I liked the earlier time. If we had wanted we could've made the 8:30 pm show for that night, which was the new Wish movie.

I've found the dinner servers do their best to get everyone's meal served in time to see the fireworks.

We had the 8:15 dinner and when it was over we went up to see the show and the fireworks. I didn’t know they did it earlier. This was on the wish 4 night.

We've had late dining on our last 6 cruises and have never missed the fireworks!
