DH and I found out yesterday that our first baby is going to be a girl. Now we are having a hard time coming up with a name. We both love Disney, and I think it would be fun to have a name that has a little bit of Disney in it, but something subtle (not like Ariel, Minnie, etc) so that our friends & family don't really know that it came from Disney. Does anyone have suggestions?

What about Rose or Ella? Rose - Briar Rose or Sleeping Beauty or Ella - Cinderella

Annie or Hallie (Parent Trap)
Susan or Sharon (Parent Trap original)
Marie (the cat)
Amelia or Mia (Princess Diaries/Aristocats)
Alice (in Wonderland)
Felicia (Great Mouse Detective)
Sarah (Lady & the Tramp)
Anita (101 Dalmatians)
Mary (Poppins)
Wendy (Peter Pan)
Elizabeth (Swann, PotC)
Go w/the non-animated movies and you might have more options!

Wow those are some good names! I love the name Amelia!!

My husband's nephew went with Aurora Belle.:rolleyes: Okay it doesn't fit your parameters but it is totally Disney. I love Daxx's list. Too bad I'm not having anymore children.

I did ask the nephew and his wife if they were huge Disney fans and they looked at me like I was crazy. They apparently hadn't realized that Aurora was Sleeping Beauty's name. I was then informed that it was a name of a car and that's where she was conceived.:eek:

I like the name Elizabeth. When/if I have a baby, and when/if I have a girl, I'm going to name her Rachel Elizabeth, I've had that named picked out for a few years.

I just spit on my keyboard. :rotfl2:

First off, CONGRATULATIONS :) And everyone already gave great names so..good luck choosing one ;)

Oh I love Amelia. My ds has a little adorable girl in his preschool that he is in love with named Amelia. So :love:

That's my name. :)

I like the name Lilly, after Lillian Disney Walt's wife. I think we're done, but if we were to have another girl it would be Lilly.

You could always make up one. I play an online game and my character's name is Mulari, which is a cross between Mulan and Ariel. I wouldn't suggest naming an actual person that though. :rolleyes1

I love a lot of the other names listed! Some very beautiful ones in there. :)

yeah, i bet they'll have a laugh when she is repeating that story to all her friends when she is, oh say, 13 or to her boyfriend when she is 15...

Yay, I too was going to suggest Lily for Walt's wife (plus i'm on this huge Harry Potter kick these days...that was Harry's mother's name...)

or Kira, Simba's daughter?

Congratulations, by the way! :cheer2:

Esmeralda
Hyacinth
Perdita
Cruella
Pocahontas
MIss Quackfactor
Brigitta
Leota

these are subtle :thumbsup2

Sorry I'm in a mood today.....better watch out....;)

My first thought too. We actually named our cat this, I slipped it under my husbands No Disney Names radar....I absolutely LOVE the name now. He didn't figure it out until we were in Disney and saw pictures of the Lilly Belle train engine and put two and two together. The true irony is that when we got Lilly's adoption papers several weeks after we got her, we found out she was born on Walt's birthday. :rotfl2:

Cindy = Cinderella
Rose = Sleeping Beauty
Belle = Belle (and is actually a very popular name)
Robin = Christopher Robin. :)
Anita = 101 Dalmations (the wife's name)
Marian = Maid Marian from Robin Hood
