I’m a teacher so co e across a lot of weird names as well. I had a girl named Amirykal pronounced a miracle.
A teacher friend told me she had twins a boy named Male pronounced ma lay and girl named Female pronounced fa ma lay.
It’s been 25+ years since I encountered these names, but I do think the Sha-theed was told to us by one of our ER doctors, so maybe so with the urban legend. But the other 2 I remember being in the ER. I remember one of our male nurses saying to the mom of Ovaries - Mom do you realize his name is spelled the same as ovaries, and she just looked at him like what are you talking about. And with @$$hole we kind of joked that the 2 dots over the O must make it okay.
I saw a show the other day that made me think of this thread. It was a show about real people looking for a new home in a foreign city (House Hunters International). Her daughter was named Free Spirit, called "Free" for short.
At least you know those words and can pronounce them. We see so many crazy kids names at the hospital that my coworker said one time that the person obtaining the info for the birth certificate should have the authority to say - I’m sorry but that name is not an option, you need to come up with a different name for your baby - haha
Sorry if this has already been mentioned (TL-DR this zombie thread);
"Moxie Crimefighter"
Penn had Moxie on "Fool Us" and it was actually really sweet - so I kinda changed my mind on this one - but definitely not for everyone.
In my grandsons class there's a kid named "Bear" So I thought, ok (not to be sexist) but I thought Bear would be a boys name... nope a tiny, blond little girl. So wrong, in so many ways.
I also can't figure out how Trey or usually spelled Tre became a popular boys name? Because the first time I heard that name Trey was because of singer Trey Lorenz and I never knew that Trey would become a popular name. I also found T'Challa to be a popular boys name too. But you never see names like Icarus or Athena becoming popular names today
