STAR WARS: GALACTIC STARCRUISER Official Information & Questions Thread

Called as the second hand passed 7am this morning but received the message saying "all annual passholder reservations had been taken and to try back when general sales opened." Knowing that was obviously in error, I kept redialing but by the time I got through at 7:01, I ended up being on hold until after 9am to reach pre-screening and the queue for booking was full. I had called the 7379 number.
At the CM's advice I have been trying to call back all day but kept being told the queue was full. About 10 min ago, after a very short hold for pre-screening, they placed me in the reservation queue. Same as others, had hold music for about 4 min and then silence. now the long wait begins! Super afraid I will hit something on my cell phone and it will hang up!

I think I’m in there with you. After finally getting through to hold, I waited 23 minutes and got another pre-screening interview She then put me in the actual queue, which was about 60 seconds of music, then a message that my hold time would be more than 60 minutes, then total silence. I think I’d prefer the music!

How often do you get a hold time update? I’ve been on for 20 minutes. About one minute into my wait I was given a hold time of approximately 14 minutes. I wish! Lol. 20 minutes later I’m not at all surprised to still be holding, but curious when I’ll get another hold time estimate.

" Dear Holocron Diary, today at 1:40p an automated voice told me I had only 400 solar minutes to wait. I thought it sounded like a late model protocol droid, but then I thought the Jawa's wouldn't have let it age that way... it would given it a deep rumbling bass voice making me want to spend more credits on this exciting cruise!
Then again..... Imagine if I were a vlogger, and just vlogged my wait time experience. YouTube could have paid for this cruise... or maybe a dinner or two!

To your question, I believe it's been about once an hour. I try to keep my record on post #129 as accurate as possible for historical analysis and comical situation. Yes, you can laugh *at* or *with* me... waiting this long is pretty funny, in a laugh instead of cry kind of way.

Began calling at 6am PST (9am EST) and finally got into GS queue by accidentally being transferred to a DVC cast member about 6:44am.
Original wait time was 838 minutes (~14 hrs), wait time was updated about an hour later to 866 minutes (I'm thinking this is a bad sign that it got longer...), started decreasing about 11:25am (538 minutes) and then at 12:30pm (120 minutes), then spoke to a DVC cast member at approximately 12:40pm for about 20 minutes. She took my points and cash information, dates, guests, captain's table request, etc. and credit card information for cash portion. I have since been on hold again for almost an hour while they wait to speak to the GS specialist to complete the reservation...
Keeping my fingers crossed!
Booked for family of 5 with one person on pts and remainder on cash at 8.5 hours after first connecting!

I think it was easier for Mark Hamill to get the role of Luke Skywalker than it is to get a reservation done on Galactic Starcruiser. Crazy

Just found this thread. I called in this morning at probably 7:45 ET. I am AP and DVC, but I think I called the standard reservation line, because I hadn't gotten an email, nor did I find info on where to call. I was on hold for over 2 hours, and told to call back later, that the booking agents for Starcruiser were booked. So frustrating, but at least I had hold music the whole time.

Also interesting to know that others didn't get their email code too. I know someone mentioned not being signed up for emails, and I had that something like this happen to me before, so I know I was signed up for emails.
Still - I'm probably going to try again tomorrow morning.

No, after endless calls in a row of getting that message after the first message about calls may be recorded, when I got through instead it was the same first message about recording, but instead the same voice went on to tell me about staying on the line after my call to take a survey, and then I was through to a hold music queue.

Dear Holocron Diary, Just as I was finishing up my scavenger work, a very nice lady picked up on the line, right at 5:00 solar evening rotation! Wonderful! She took all my information and I'm now on hold again to wait for a booking officer. I'm going to mix my 1/4 portion with some Corelian Ale while I await my cruise date destiny!

After about 60min on hold after being pre-qualified I was connected to a reservation CM and was able to book my 1st choice date in March. There was no captains table left for any of my date options. Process took about 30min to book once I was connected.

That’s great news!! I’ve got my fingers crossed I’m soon behind you! I’ve been in the silent hold for about 1.5 hours after the pre-screening

Just an update…booking line is full again, but he did say it’s “opening up periodically” so my guess is if you call and DON’T hear that intro, you’ve got a chance to get through!! I guess I’ll keep trying….

Could not sleep...awake at 4:30...my inner dork got me out of be by 5am
Stalked the internet for anything related to this thing I heard about called Galactic Starcuiser.... <--- also a dork / geek move
Finally at like 6:04 wife tells me she got an email with a code....hmmm after some convincing (con) I get her to forward me the email <--- only cost 2 republic credits (all too easy)
6:55 I think I am being cool and lock myself in my office so my wife will not hear me (how stupid as the only thing heard for the next 2 hours was what sounded like a Disney Musical)
6:59 feverishly start calling <-- 1st mistake?
7:00 I get thru and hear a message about the AP reservations are all gone <----I said this is impossible...then remember Yoda told Luke that is why he failed
7:01 with renewed vigor I am dialing again....no I get thru....let the music begin.

The next 2.5 hours is a blur as I clean stuff...send email..( I think I told one of my clients that he looks like an imperial probe droid ) <---brain was fried at points

9:33.2 my heart skips a beat.... I mean really skips a beat <---actually having open heart surgery soon

10:14 I explain to my client that I'm sorry I didn't let him know I was going to be late but my phone wasn't working and there was a lot of launch issues with my car
10:45 Phone rings...it is a 407 number, I tell customer it is my Mom and I need to go outside (no way I am telling anyone I am trying to buy 2 nights at this Star Wars hotel for $6500) who would?
10:46 I am outside...it is a fine young man from Starcruiser Reservations....heart skips another beat....we chat
11:05 Deal is done...I am whipped...but I secured the voyage on the 4th of May...all is good.
11:08 I quickly realize that I must now tell my wife of my dealings <--- ugh...um....uh
12:00 I call wife and tell her I love her....ask her if she wants to goto dinner tonight...she loves me <---oh yeah...
12:05 I say goodbye to wife....tell her I love her again...see you tonight
1:00 I call my wife back (had to plan what to say) Hey remember that email thing you sent me....well I got thru and made a reservation for the 4th of May
1:00.4 CLICK ......
1:02 Open google and do some quick searches on romantic cruises for 2 sometime before May

Dear Holocron Diary, I have a certain appreciation for the Sarlaac digestion cycle. I think eight solar hours is a long time to hold, but to a Sarlaac, that must be like a burp. I wonder if it ponders the sound of one bantha in the desert.... Still on hold for a booking officer, I'm hoping to be connected to T'owanna. I hear that officer could make a booking in less than 8 parsecs! Back to my Corelian Ale. Wait should be over anytime now! (That's what Rey told me the other day about her parents coming back, too!)

She picked up after just over two hours of holding on silence, took about 20 minutes and we are officially booked!! Got my first choice of date, captain’s table was already booked for both times.
