It's been a good while (a few years) since I have been on disboards but I had to start back by reading a shumigirl trip report. Awesome as always. I hope you and Tom have a great time in Orlando and I can't wait to read along.

Heavy downpour this morning as we packed up from Royal…….it is absolutely gorgeous outside now though and we have this view, our favourite suite awaited us at the beautiful Sapphire Falls!




We haven’t done much at all this weekend, caught up with some old friends and enjoyed a singalong with the Duelling Pianos last night!

Just because I can’t sing, doesn’t mean I won’t sing

All unpacked now and settling down to watch the Miami GP before heading over to the club lounge for a drink before we head off for dinner later, not sure where yet, we’ll decide later!

Well, back home after a lovely long day in Epic.

Beautiful. We only wandered through the dragon area, not much for us here, it is cute, but wouldn’t go back.

Didn’t do Mario at all due to not being interested, it does look good though.

Potter is spectacular!! Absolutely incredible and Ministry is exceptional. This whole area is completely immersive and detailed beyond belief.

The jewel in the crown is Monsters area. This is amazing and again, detailed beyond belief and with the park being not busy you do get to see it so well.

Monsters Unchained, The Frankenstein Experiment was our favourite ride, it is short, but amazingly themed. At a 20 minute wait which was really only around 10 minutes we did this one several times, incredible.

Food was a hit and miss. We shared a meal in Cafe L’air De La Sirene, it wasn’t the warmest of food but lovely. The crème brûlée was ok, lavender lemonade was really nice.

Das Stakehaus was mediocre at best, staff are excellent though.

We ended up having dinner in Flora Taverna in Helios and it was perfect before heading back into the park for Monsters in the dark.

This for us is a one day park, but a full day for sure, it is beautiful in daylight, but night time changes it completely. We arrived around 11.15 and stayed till park close, saw everything and did everything we wanted to do, come September we’ll do another day, but only one, however it is an amazing day.

Epic looks amazing! Love the Potter pictures. I think i have talked hubby to a quick weekend in Aug just to do Epic.

Having a lazy afternoon after a morning in IOA. Well, we’re doing laundry so not completely lazy, but chilling is nice as it is bliddy hot out there today.

We noticed in the main Universal store at the entrance to IOA they have removed the Characters that used to be around the store, strange to see them gone after so many years.
















Such a shame as they fitted in nicely with the theme of IOA.

Weather is beautiful, hot, but not summer hot yet, today is a lovely 89F and will be similar for the rest of our trip.

Dinner with friends tonight then who knows what we’ll do tomorrow…….

But, having the best time as always!!!

I know you NEVER watch vloggers! For good reason.
I like Molly and Alan of Mammoth Club.
They just did videos of each land in Epic in great detail.
They ate around centennial, and had an amazing dinner at Atlantic.
They are so appreciative of all the little detailing, and overall, are finding the food in each portal to vastly exceed all other theme parks. I’m afraid this all out effort to be extraordinary cannot be sustained with crowds day after day, and the menus will dumb down by the time I’m ready to brave the crowds. But you must be so proud of all the hospitality CMs you know.

Overall I don’t think the park food was anything special, the meal we had in the cafe in Potter was good, but the crème brûlée and especially the crepes were not good!

We didn’t go to Atlantic as we went to Flora Taverna in Helios instead, but it does seem good.

I think the next few years will see huge changes in both IOA and Studios, massive changes being honest, so yes you can see little changes already being implemented.

You might be lucky wishing for more monsters in one of the two original parks, we can but hope

Well, me and my big mouth saying it’s not summer hot yet……

Holy sunshine!!! We had 94F yesterday and same again today but real feel of 100F! It is summer hot already and it feels hotter than Hades! But, loving it

May isn’t usually like this and I think next few days will go back to just under 90F. I am glad we weren’t doing Epic last few days, few hours in the park is enough right now.

And not at all busy.





Velocicoaster was showing 65 minutes today, with EP we walked on, but I think everyone in the park was either there or in Hagrids, so it was nice and quiet in most places.

Carole’s Punch from the lovely Christian in Strong Water Bar tonight……it lived up to his hype..



It’s not on the menu, but still possible to enjoy, one of the nicest cocktails around even if I say so myself!

Although Bar Helios and Flora Taverna are both alternative options

Had the best day catching up with folks and we planned to do Citywalk tonight, however, weather rolled in and lightning had us stay onsite tonight, Strong Water is the best place to be in any weather, but especially with lightning and thunderstorms!

Discussing what to do tomorrow…..will decide when we wake up I think

lol……I was a little bleary eyed this morning but they insisted we tried a couple of new drinks that are hopefully going on the new menu, well it would have been rude to say no when they asked so nicely

I think they made it light because someone told her that I wasn't a drinker, lol! I did love it and I only like fruity drinks.
