Something About Nothing............ #14

IMG_4237.gif

Ah yes, another day when the car warning of icy conditions when I started my predawn commute. Um yeah, cool enough for it, but nope. No ice hehe. Sun is shining brightly, have to lower the shade on my office window. May be carrying my coat out the door, as saying 66 degrees when I leave. Overcast by then, but hey, warm afternoon, I’ll take it.

So ready for our predicted 80 degree high Saturday. Asked the kids, wouldn’t be a good day to go down the shore? Will see. Either way, turned off the alarm after it went off this morning. Woot! Weekend starts later this afternoon.

Fabulous Friday all. A Most Wonderful Weekend too.

Definitely time for beaches to be popular!!! Nothing like a good old walk along......seems to be popular for sure :rotfl:

The guys did a great job at Kyle`s place, gave them a nice tip as they did work hard and they enjoyed plenty of cups of tea!!

Then friend and I went shopping instead of sitting in the tea shop, managed to pick up a couple of things but need to go look for sandals and new trainers, will leave that till Monday when stores are less busy, they were mobbed this afternoon!!!

Beautiful day here, but a little breezy now and getting cooler, we are ready for that clock change this weekend, lighter nights and even lighter mornings make you want to get up and out.

Another hour or so till dinner, going to mooch and find a small snack as I feel like nibbling, no cake left, but did hear everyone`s bakery at the church event today was all gone very quickly!! Always good to hear.

Janet is also doing ok, she is home and hopefully taking it easy, she is being looked after very well by mr keisha and her family....still sending her all good wishes going forward :-)

It’s almost 5:00 am on a Saturday and I’m awake. Why am I awake? Because I have an obnoxious cat.

Nothing much going on here. My boss was given a clean bill of health. They didn’t find any heart blockages. Thursday she went home on her lunch hour because her husband had called and was acting very confused. She said he was fine when she got home, so she came back to work. I don’t know how much this is concerning her, but I can’t help but wonder if this is the start of something serious. I think he is around 80-81 years old.

In happier news (and speaking of 80 year olds) I think I mentioned that I am going to see Micky Dolenz of The Monkees in concert next month. I found out yesterday that there will be a pre show meet and greet. It’s a little pricey, but I’m going to do it. Part of the money is going to the Make a Wish foundation. It says we can bring something for him to sign. I need to figure out what I want to take.

I think Caspian has settled down so I am going to try to get back to sleep.

That doesn`t sound good at all Charade with her husband, being confused could be something like a deficiency, he needs to be checked out for a kidney infection as that can cause confusion. A lady in our village was at the stage she thought she had dementia, yes it was that bad, but it was her kidney`s and she is fine now. Doc told her it was incredibly common. Glad she got a good result though.

Meet and greet will be worth it!! Hope you got back to sleep!

Living next to the Ocean is one of my favourite things!!!

We always have, whichever coast we have lived on, not sure I`d like to live inland in the future when we move.

Out early for a walk just the two of us today, but stopped in for breakfast, I think most of the shoreside cafe`s are all open now for the season, so we have plenty to choose from.

Missed the partial eclipse of the sun about an hour ago here, it clouded over and we were promised a clear sky! Well, it`s almost over now as it peaked about half an hour ago, but looks like the weather is going to be lovely all this week.

Honey chilli chicken for dinner tonight, I have some hot honey to finish off, will do that with mushrooms and some stir fry noodles, lunch we have mini wraps, so roast beef slices with salad and a spicy dressing, some scones for afternoon tea and that`s food sorted for the day!!

Kettle on, tea coming up!!

Happy Saturday :sunny:

Grab your favorite beverage be it coffee or tea and enjoy your Saturday morning.

Carole beautiful Ocean and shoreline picture. Could be a post card.

I heard from Janet a little time ago, she did have her surgery on Friday and it went just fine for her which is so good to hear.

Good to hear Janet is doing well.

Robbie, hope your birthday luncheon was great!
It was Mac thank you for asking. We had a nice visit.

Ugh, I can tell it’s spring because I am having more difficulty breathing.
Hope the breathing issue is doing better.

hated driving on 95 so much that I chose to take the toll road to work and back instead.
The turnpike is a good option although I would have to travel 30 miles west to pick it up.

These days the pike has gotten a bit scary too. Seems to be construction all the time.

Have a great time at the Micky Dolenz concert.

When folks reach into their 80’s even a UTI can cause confusion. Your boss might want to call her hubby’s MD to flush out the cause of his periodic confusion. Could be lots of treatable causes.

I was sad to take our granddaughter back to the airport on Thursday morning. We had a wonderful time while she was here. It just seemed like the week went by to fast.

On the way up to Universal another accident occurred on 95. Although the traffic never came to an absolute stop it was slow going for a good 40 minutes. The accident was off to the right of the shoulder right before our turn off on the 520. It was between a truck and SUV. Sadly the passenger side of the SUV was terribly damaged. Hoped there was no one sitting there.

I took granddaughter for an overnight stay at Universal the day before she had to fly home. We made the most of our day and did some park time and enjoyed the Mardi Gras celebration. She said she had a good time.

The parks were fairly busy. Spring break time.

Went to the store early this morning.

Going out for a little while this morning to tweak some plants.

Need to get scootin.

Have a wonderful Saturday everyone doing whatever makes you happy.

Mickey Dolenz is 80????
He just turned 80 on March 8. We went to see Micky, Peter, and Davy in concert 14 years ago. I had to warn B not to expect the young, cute boys she had seen on TV. They were old enough to be her grandfathers.

I was thinking of dementia or Alzheimer’s. I did not know kidney infections could cause confusion.

I lived very close to the Sawgrass Expressway,
so that was how I got to work. I got lost on the turnpike once. I was new to the area and had no idea where I was going.

I will mention that to her on Monday.

Almost forgot this. What a stunning photo.

I finally got back to sleep and woke up at 10:30. Thankfully no plans for today.

Thank you, we do enjoy beautiful scenery, especially early hours when no one else is around! Living right beside the beach and just being able to drive a couple of minutes and we`re there is wonderful. Of course we could walk, but it`s much easier to walk down the hill and park lol....

Glad you had a lovely visit with your granddaughter!

Yes, it would be worth suggesting she gets her husband tested for any issues with kidneys and so on, I never realised it was as common as since then several folks mentioned knowing someone who had dementia concerns with a relative and the confusion was sorted with treatments for kidney issues. Incredible to think some issues are sorted so easily.

Thank you, we do love where we live.

Had some friends pop round this afternoon, so I was glad I bought those scones and plenty of other little treats to accompany afternoon tea in case they popped round, they stayed a couple of hours which was nice, we sorted out the world and their problems of course!!

Dinner was nice, very spicy and full of flavour!

Tonight, it is blowing a gale outside, after such a lovely morning it is weird to have it sound like winter out there, but cosy in here with candles and low lamps on, plan to watch a movie later, maybe Disclosure with Michael Douglas, haven`t watched it for a while.

Then remember to put the clocks forward that don`t do it automatically, most do though.

Happy Mother’s Day to any UK mummy’s here today!!!

Kyle is coming over this afternoon, he is running this morning, 18 miles apparently! So we’re going to do Sunday dinner mid afternoon today, rib of beef and all the trimmings, we never go out for food on Mother’s Day itself, over inflated menu’s and prices. He has told us he’s booked a restaurant for this Saturday coming to take us out for a meal, so will look forward to that.

Will call my own mum too when she gets home from church today.

Don’t feel that time change today as we went to bed late and slept late, heard the wind blowing outside and decided to stay in bed rather than get up and go walking.

So, larger breakfast as we won’t be having lunch, but lots of tea as always!

Sun is shining, breezy so got the bedding all washed and out on the line, happy days.

And glad to hear Janet is improving daily :cheer2:

Have a lovely Sunday 🙂

Tonight dh and I were discussing our first visits to WDW. I found my old photo album and had forgotten that I had saved my 4 day/3 park ticket and parking ticket. Check out the prices. I also still have my park maps.

It`s so nice to find things like that, prices are amazing.

We were telling someone recently that in 2007 we paid around $47 for three of us to do the dessert party in MK, hard to imagine those prices today.

Hope everyone is doing well today.
Friends at Epic today for soft opening as guests. From a fellow coaster nut Stardust Racers>Velocicoaster.
Still haven't got a clue about AP soft opening.
Also heard characters and character experiences are on point. No feedback on food yet.

So far we`ve only heard absolutely positive things about everything!! I`ve heard a little about the food, sounds good too!!

I haven’t checked our weather forecast yet as over sleep this morning…
Right now it looks like rain will creep in for my area.

Nothing on my calendar to do today so most likely will spend the day inside.

Mr Mac can handle any shopping needs that arise if there is a need today.

Hope it`s dried up by now for you and you can get out and about.

Busy day and a fun one too!!!

Volunteering first thing then we went out for the rest of the day shopping and lunch out with two friends, the husbands are good bag carriers, although still couldn`t find strappy sandals I want. I doubt I`m going to get the style I want.

Cuppa then bed now I think :)

Good Tuesday morning everyone

There is something healing about being on the beach. Especially when you can be there by yourself before other folks arrive.

So glad to hear you are able to enjoy time at the ocean and that is so close to where you live.

Happy Mother’s Day to any UK mummy’s here today!!!

Happy belated Mother’s Day to you and all the UK mom’s. Hope you had a good one.

Mac hope the rain lets up so you can get out.

:wave2::wave2: Double wave back to you pumpkin. Have a great day.

Real foggy this morning. Had storms last night again. Lots of thunder and lightning. Should clear off and be sunny and in the 80’s if predicted weather is on point.

We had a double SpaceX rocket launches yesterday. One in the late afternoon sending up more satellites then one last night.

I was surprised they shot off the rocket last night. I was watching the live feed on SpaceX and I could see the lightening starting there in the distance.

They were not getting the weather yet that we were getting or I’am sure they would have postponed the lift off.

It was awesome that they were showing the astronauts in the capsule before and after lift off. The commander said it would only take them 46 minutes to reach the South Pole from Florida.
They are going to do some polar research as well as other interesting research projects. You can read about it on SpaceX website.

I got a photo of it from patio as it was raining and lightening to bad to go out in the yard. There was a lot of cloud cover. I seen it up and then it disappeared in the clouds.

Went out for lunch yesterday with friend across the street. She said some of her friends had been talking to her about TooJay’s Deli. I had been there a couple of times, but she had not. So we went there for lunch.

The food was good and we had a great visit, but Our waiter was something else. He got into an argument with the other wait staff over table assignments within ears reach of all of us diners. He seemed to be a bit of a bully. Not nice. Very inappropriate.

After lunch we enjoyed just a tad of retail therapy.

Not much else going on here today.

Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone doing whatever makes you happy.
