Just got back home last night after three days at DLR...and just thought I'd share a few things that are foremost in my mind.
Cleanliness: i have to say I saw more sanitation personnel than I have seen in years! Lots of staged personnel on restrooms, people sweeping and picking up trash, very very clean. Love that!
Ride personnel and Guest Services: Severely lacking in FL at rope drop, making it hard to get return times. I have had a DAS for several years but was declined last two trips. I don't wish to disclose my condition but its "on the spectrum". I rely on getting a lot of rides done before 10 am, now using LRT. When a CM is not available to do that (such as outside PP), it's disheartening. On the other hand, a CM at Alice who couldn't get her scanner to work just let me go right in the exit onto the ride. But it's the scattered randomness of not having the usual system working that is disconcerting to a person who is OC. I'm rambling but I hope others can understand. I am willing to go by the rules...just don't keep changing them LOL. I did buy LLMP one day (my non Star Wars nite day) but it really doesn't benefit me all that much because I don't ride a lot of the attractions that use it.
Crowds: not bad at all Tuesday, Wed, and Thursday. I went Friday AM as I had a late PM flight home and my gosh...you could barely move around by 11am. I could NOT believe the difference. Glad I was leaving.
Seemed that a lot of folks were still on spring/Easter break.
HM: not sure what all the hoopla was about with the new bride...i think I actually preferred the old one but I prefer the NBC version anyway.
Soarin over CA: always happy for a chance to enjoy this classic attraction, don't care as much for World.
Merchandise: I still long for the days when shops had different offerings and it wasn't all the same old stuff.
But I was able to find a Roo plushie at Pooh Corner (the only place that had it) and a Three Caballeros tee at the store in Frontierland. I was hoping they would have those purple 70th spirit jerseys out but they must be saving them until closer to the day. I didn't care for the tie dye ones, too muddy looking.
Still didn't do Tiana's yet, saving it for summer but just a warning...people were coming off there DRENCHED. I saw several people with clothes just sticking to them...but yet others seemed fine. Heard someone say "don't sit in back"...
Star Wars Night: i thoroughly enjoyed it again but please know that I am not a SW fan so really not invested in it. I took a few photos up on Main Street, was first in line for one of those. I go FOR THE RIDES AND SHOPPING. Most rides have no lines (nearly had a private submarine). This all relates back to my condition and it works perfect for me. The price is well worth it to me. I can shop in a leisurely fashion and chat with CMs. At pooh corner, the CM cashier nodded to my shirt and said "oh, you like Kylo Ren?"
No, I really just like Adam Driver, I replied and then they both fangirled and then we spent five minutes discussing Mr. Driver's attributes and talent.

WORST PART OF SW NITE: curious to know which Disney exec's kid is in the garage band that was playing on Tom Sawyer Island...THEY WERE HORRIBLE! So unnecessary, nothing to do with SW nite, just more noise. No one was dancing or anything, if that was the purpose. Most everyone was at ROA awaiting theCantina band float that came by every hour. Last year, it was beautiful along there, nice and quiet, a good place for some respite. Interestingly enough, I saw no mention of this on the blogs, in fact, most of them were just parroting Disney PR...i don't know, maybe that is what they always do, I dont follow any of them. But only LP said negative things, true thingsabout how unhappy people were opening night when the Skywalker projection didnt play. I thought the setup for character interactions was worse this year. TheDark Side was all up on the launch bay just trying to look menacing and there wasn't a Phasma/Stormtrooper parade like last year.
OK...enough babbling for now. As always, anytime at DL isa good time. CCI was perfect, and lots less homeless down on the Harbor/Katella corner. Heard the preacher one night but that was it.
Spring is in full force at the park...lost count of all the ducklings!
And here's a couple of pics...i know, its unlike me but I had to show off mySnowWhite outfit!
PS-I had to throw in the Darth Vader pic, the irony was toofunny!
