We need an option between yes and no. 😆

Je parle un peu français.

I speak a little bit of French, and can read even more, but I'm definitely not what you'd call bilingual. People truly fluent in multiple languages have my deep respect!
Je suis d'accord. Je parle et comprends aussi un peu français, mais j'apprends toujours.

I often listen to the lessons while doing things around the house, or I will put on a movie or tv show dubbed on French and see how many words I can pick up. Learning a different language has never been easy for me (this is my third attempt) so I am taking it slow this time.

I can’t speak or understand anything but English. But when my sister and I went to Epcot last year I had someone to make us shirts either hello or the appropriate greeting for each country in Epcot.

I have no gift for languages. I took French all through high school and three years of it in college, and the upshot is I'm great at recognizing cooking terms. That's about it.

I can only speak enough to place an order and say please, thank you, where is the bathroom. I have tried to learn the language before visiting but cannot recall information quickly enough. My pronunciation is awful, so locals usually smile and speak English. I am thankful so many speak English in the countries we visit. The translator apps on the phone are helpful, as well!

No I don't speak another language. I lived in a different country when I was a teenager and did learn to communicate in that language. Just basic stuff but enough to get by. I went to high school in New Mexico and did pick up a little Spanish but that was 50 years ago so, again, have forgotten all but a few words.

Yep, several. I use English/French all day and every day at work, and English at home. The others come in handy at work and for travel. When the kids were small, we would speak both at home
I am all for learning languages, it makes travelling so much easier and fun !

I took a few years of Spanish in high school. And a couple years in college. Sadly, I remember very little. Even when I knew the most, I was better at reading it or hearing it. But not actually speaking it.

I've done Spanish on Duolingo a decent amount though. And some Germon on there as well.

But definitely not good at either.
