My DH will be bummed (me too!) our trip isnt' until Dec....All the crews are great. Could NOT pay me enough to go through what they do. In regards to Capt. Phil. I though he was injured during the hurricane? he was thrown from the bed and hit the corner of a table. Broke some ribs he thought, So I assumed that was what the problem was..Could be wrong.

Sweet. I got to meet Sig when he was there this past December, he was a real sweetheart. I just happen to have a trip planned for the dates he will be there in July so I guess I know what I'll be doing one afternoon!

My dh's company is doing some work on the boat for the captain for the Cornelia Marie and he was in town recently. I was so MAD that dh didn't call me so I could go over and meet him...I think he is named Phil. I love Deadliest Catch! I was really mad when I thought it might be Sig...he's my favorite. I plan to go meet Phil when he comes back in town.

Does anyone know if any other Deadliest Catch captains or crews will be coming to WDW?

Hubby's favorite is Sig, but we're not planning our first trip til next February! My favorite Captain is Phil, and DD7,(yes, she's a fan!) loves Jonathan and his crew.

We would love to meet them in person ~ any of them. We're even talking about taking a trip to Alaska for our 20th anniversary and hang out at the bars where the crews frequent.

I love this show too! I watched the new one last night. i was also wondering what was wrong with Captain Phil. This is what i found:

In a scene to be shown later this season, a monster wave pummeled his boat in January, causing him to fall out of his bunk. He punctured a lung and broke his ribs. But his condition worsened after a blood clot dislodged from his leg and traveled to his heart.

Harris almost died from a pulmonary aneurysm, and the remains of the clot are still life-threatening.

"I'm eating massive amounts of medicine" to break down the clot, he says. "I take them every day and pray."

Then, turning to the Discovery publicist, Harris says mischievously, "You know what the ratings would have been if I had died? Hot diggity dog! He's a dead man!"

I wonder what it would cost to go down for one day! Drats, we're not going until Sept.
DH & I love to watch Deadliest Catch - Had to watch it last night to see what happened to Captain Phil. Any guesses as to what's wrong? I hope it's nothing serious. But the way he smokes...

Anyway the Northwestern is DH's favorite ship - personally I like Edgar and I didn't know there was a third brother until last night's "After the Catch" show.

Well I guess I'll just have to got to Discovery's website to buy Deadliest Catch stuff!

Sig was also in Norway last December right before Christmas. We didnt know anything about it, and happened to be walking by and saw the sign. Got his autograph and a picture with him. He told me back then that they have a Deadlist Catch video game coming out, and I saw an ad for it the other day. That may compete for my time with the DIS

Yes, I'm a fan and would LOVE to meet the guys, but I just can't get past one thought -- if I think it's going to be hot in August, imagine what it must feel like to be them in Florida in July!? After spending weeks at a time at sea in the sub-zero temperatures, how can they possibly bear it?
