That is why I am worried. Always rented through a broker which raises same issue.I would not rent from anyone I didn't personally know. People who don't care about rules probably don't care about your repercussions either.
Although if we go it would not be until August, may sit this year out while this is determined. Do not know anyone personally and even though the broker may have some protection, would rather not show up to find no room is reserved. They can only work with what is available and what they are willing to spend to fix it.Well, if I was going to rent right now, I’d be using a broker who has terms that they will take care of you is something happens.
Or do some extra due diligence with the owner to ask additional questions to make you feel comfortable with renting from them.
And therein lies the issue. Maybe I can use this to convince the wife about buying in resale.Word is DVC have outright cancelled some commercial reservations with little or no notice. That would be fun.

Already watching. Currently adds an extra $3K minimum. (Family of 5 so 2BR or 2 rooms.)If you are hesitant than I agree that this is not the time to go the rental route.
Disney did just release specials for the summer when booking a WDW vacation!! Might want to check those out!!
See this thread.I didn’t even know this is happening.
I haven’t been following- is this numerous reports or just a couple reports at this point?Word is DVC have outright cancelled some commercial reservations with little or no notice. That would be fun.
Where is this “word”?Word is DVC have outright cancelled some commercial reservations with little or no notice. That would be fun.

That is what i am referencing. Have not seen anything about actual which would scare.me even more about renting.I haven’t heard any reports just rumors that they may take steps to prevent commercial rentals.

If only. It seems like Disney always grabs these foreclosures.Just wait a few months until the timeshare landlords go into bankruptcy, then you can get cheaper contracts.
What a great Disney experience for the people who rented.Word is DVC have outright cancelled some commercial reservations with little or no notice. That would be fun.
I had not considered that many probably won’t be able to cash flow their dues and loans, so this is an actual possibility.Just wait a few months until the timeshare landlords go into bankruptcy, then you can get cheaper contracts.
Not likely if they are desperate and able to find a buyer for a low price Disney will exercise ROFR and take them back and resell them. If they are not able to sell then they go into foreclosure and Disney grabs them and sells them again.I had not considered that many probably won’t be able to cash flow their dues and loans, so this is an actual possibility.
